Dion indicates Vancouver safe injection site is OK
The Liberal party has no intention of advocating the legalization of cannabis but leader Stephane Dion made it clear Friday that under a Liberal government, other Canadian cities could see safe injection sites like the one in Vancouver.
Cause we all no how well that it is working out don't we...
Well maybe not...
B.C. injection drug users carrying superbug
The percentage of injection drug users from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside neighbourhood found to be carrying a worrisome superbug jumped 250 per cent from 2000 to 2006, a new study reveals.
Now if this bug was restricted to those who use drugs, personally I could care less what happens to them. They have no one to blame but themselves. But of course they and those who enable this life style will blame everyone but them for their habits. The problem is that this bug does not discriminate. It does not care if you use drugs or not. It has found a host in Vancouver that has made it very easy for it to spread, grow and survive.
What say you now Dion and those that wish to have more of these sites throughout Canada? Are you willing to put the entire population at risk of these super bugs just to appease a bunch of do gooders and drug abusers?
As a side note.... I suspect that these are the same people screaming at the top of their lungs regarding how second hand smoke is going to kill everyone. Demanding that smokers be banished to the hinterlands...
