Here is a thought Jim. How about countering the bull being spewed by the environMENTALists with some truth and facts instead of appeasing the idiots.
PM Harper sure knows how to keep his voter base happy don't he... oh wait... What is this?... strike 34 or thereabouts? My back has far too many knives in it now. Unfortunately there is NO ONE else to give my support to. My vote is up for grabs by anyone who can deliver something close to an Alberta version of the BLOC. The exception being that the Alberta version are truly in it to separate and not just garner more money from Ottawa to pay for useless programs.

Curious that
Earth's greenhouse gases reach record highs... Yet average global temperatures have done what? Not what the fancy computer models tell us should be happening is it. Nope, it makes no sense what so ever, but... what the hell do I know.

Al Gore Calls Myanmar Cyclone a 'Consequence' of Global Warming
Using tragedy to advance an agenda has been a strategy for many global warming activists, and it was just a matter of time before someone found a way to tie the recent Myanmar cyclone to global warming.
Former Vice President Al Gore in an interview on NPR’s May 6 “Fresh Air” broadcast did just that. He was interviewed by “Fresh Air” host Terry Gross about the release of his book, “The Assault on Reason,” in paperback.
“And as we’re talking today, Terry, the death count in Myanmar from the cyclone that hit there yesterday has been rising from 15,000 to way on up there to much higher numbers now being speculated,” Gore said. “And last year a catastrophic storm from last fall hit Bangladesh. The year before, the strongest cyclone in more than 50 years hit China – and we’re seeing consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with continued global warming.”
Gore claimed global warming is forcing ocean temperatures to rise, which is causing storms, including cyclones and hurricanes, to intensify. (emphasis mine) [...]
Now remember Al stated this on May 6th of 2008. Lets take a look at what has been written on the subject of ocean temperatures prior to that date shall we...

International group disavows UN’s climate claims

A report from the Canadian Ice Service, which has kept records on sea ice since 1972, noted above-average coverage of the Arctic. Gilles Langis, a forecaster with the Ice Service, said the ice also is 10 to 20 cm thicker in most places. The report from the Ice Service was corroborated by the Denmark Meteorological Institute, which said the sea ice between Greenland and Canada was at its most expansive in 15 years.

I wonder how long it will take for Al to come up with a way to link this to "Global Warming". It makes as much sense as does his comment regarding the Myanmar Cyclone.

The conclusion is that climate change is "unstoppable" and cannot be affected or modified by controlling the emission of greenhouse gases, such as CO2, as is proposed in current legislation.
According to Dr. Douglass: “The observed pattern of warming, comparing surface and atmospheric temperature trends, does not show the characteristic fingerprint associated with greenhouse warming. The inescapable conclusion is that the human contribution is not significant and that observed increases in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases make only a negligible contribution to climate warming.” [...]
The history of the planets ever changing climate over billions of years trumps some computer model that is fed garbage and spews out garbage.

Yet all these people don't like what Baird is saying on Canada's behalf... Make up your minds people... does over paid Al know of what he speaks or not? You hail him, gave him a Nobel prize and an Oscar on this topic so he must, right?

What good is a peace treaty that not all countries sign on to? What good is it if they all agree on it but only some of them are held responsible for keeping the peace and the rest can continue to wage war at will?
Keep up the good fight Harper. If Canadians have to pay the price for this bullshit war, when we produce an insignificant amount of CO2 compared to most other countries, then so does everyone else on this planet!
Or at the least... hold them off a bit longer Harper, while this whole CO2 and AGW thing is proven to be what it is... Wrong and a scam....
