WASHINGTON — Canadian beef banned under mad cow disease rules was shipped to wholesalers in a half-dozen states and is now being recalled by a Wisconsin beef plant. The 842 kilograms of beef came from an Ontario cow, officials say.
"When it comes to a case like this, the retailer is never disclosed, how are you ever going to know whether your chuck roast was involved in this recall or not?'' asked Jean Halloran, director of food policy initiatives at Consumers Union. "The consumer has absolutely no way of knowing."
Well Jean Halloran, director of food policy initiatives at Consumers Union,(quite the title) I personally have ate at least 4 meals of Canadian Beef every week for the past two years and two months (actually longer.. but I'm going back to day one of the Mad Cow thing). I am sure that there are many Canadians who could say the same. Amazingly enough, not one of us has had any medical problems related to doing so. Don't get your shorts in a not over nothing!

Good one...
thanks...
yes, but you are already a mad Canadian, so you've probably built up an immunity
Mad?..hmmmm..not really...upset would be a better term. As a Canadian I have become immune to many things... guess I am tired of hearing people always going to the extreme to the left or right of issues and not using common sense. Is it not time we found some middle ground?
Quite agreed.
