Well Mr. James Cameron, you just lost at least one sale on your newly released DVD, Avatar. I am adding it to my boycott of anything and anyone who seems to think that the Alberta oil sands are some kind of environmental disaster.
Let me help you out a little with your thought process on this one please. How did you feel when you heard of the Exxon Valdez spilling 270,000 barrels of oil along the coast of Alaska? It was pretty devastating, disgusting even. Those bastards! Big oil ruining the environment as always! How would you feel if you found out that there was an oil spill that made the Exxon Valdez look like a drop of grease in your kitchen sink? It happened and you don't know a damn thing about it. Why is that? It is due to the fact that mother nature made this mess herself. It is known as the Alberta oil sands and there is 1.7 trillion barrels of oil soaking in the ground in various area's in northern Alberta. That is equivalent to approx 629,629.63 Exxon Valdez disasters happening in a relatively small area. You would want that cleaned up wouldn't you? Well that is exactly what is happening. We are cleaning up mother natures oil spill and in the process we are salvaging 10% of that oil. It can be used for many of the everyday products you use every day. Plastics, fuel for your car or buses, are just a couple examples.
Now tell me again why the Alberta oil sands projects are a bad thing?
