Coming from a long line of Welsh coal miners who's stock and trade was blowing the crap out of things not to mention the son of a Sapper, I simply don't understand this. They blow up beaver dams all the time for the same reason. Why not do the same here or am I missing something? If we can implode sky scrapers without them wiping out the rest of the buildings near by, surely someone has the knowledge to blow a hole in some ice on a river. Call in the Canadian Military Engineers and let them have some fun...
