He'll get eaten by anything.
No accounting for a bears taste. They do after all think garbage is a delicacy.

Numbers Game
More than 75% of Canadian employees are not worried about losing their jobs: study
An Ipsos Reid study has found that 78 per cent of Canadian employees are not concerned that they may lose their jobs or be laid off this year because of the recession.
The finding, released Wednesday in Ipsos Reid's Build a Better Workplace syndicated study, is a slightly higher figure than was reported in a previous study in January, when the national score was 76 per cent. It represents employee concerns expressed in the last week of May.
That is MY POSITIVE spin of this story
CBC chose to spin it another way. Not that I am surprised.

We're # 1
No seriously... Canada is number one, theoretically speaking.
World yearns to visit Canada, survey shows
[...] Canada's ranking "surprised a lot of people, but Canada has a lot going for it," said Xiaoyan Zhao, a senior vice president at the polling firm. "Canada doesn't have glamorous cities like Paris or London or Rome. But Canada was ranked No. 1 for natural beauty." [...]
Personally I am not surprised. I love this place!

EU bans seal products
Lets see...
The European Parliament voted to endorse a bill that said commercial seal hunting, notably in Canada, is "inherently inhumane." EU governments still need to back the law, but officials called that a formality and said the ban is expected to take effect in October. *
"inherently inhumane", unlike what mother nature deals out to the cute little rats of the sea...
Now that is humane...
Guess its mother never taught it not to play with its food.

Proof life is not fair
I have been "trying" to play guitar for, well, lets just say for many years. I still can't play worth a darn. Especially when I compare myself to this young lad out of South Korea. Sungha Jung is definitely a prodigy. Anyone want to buy a couple guitars.... CHEAP...
Although I am not a Michael Jackson fan of any sort. This has got to be the most amazing arrangement of Billie Jean I have ever heard...
Did I mention he also has great taste in music... There are many more videos of this young musician on youtube. Take the time to watch and listen to a few more of them. Your ears will love you for it...

Conquering the world
One citizen at a time...
What a sly guy that Harper fellow is. He has figured out a way to take over the whole world without firing a shot. It is quite brilliant actually. Just give Canadian citizenship to everyone!
A new law amending the Citizenship Act came into effect on April 17, 2009. The new law gave Canadian citizenship to certain people who lost it and to others who will be recognized as citizens for the first time.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada have even made a video and put it up on YOUTUBE.

Happy Easter
Men, get out your whips, toss water at, and spank the women that you meet on Easter Monday. Wait what?
[...] Surely the strangest Easter custom takes places in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, where there is a tradition of spanking or whipping women on Easter Monday. Males throw water at females and spank them with handmade whips made of willow and decorated with ribbons at the end. The spanking is supposed to be symbolic and according to legend, females should be spanked in order to keep their health and beauty during the next year. [...]
And people think I am Strange.

The Brits have got talent
Remember Paul Potts? He was the cellphone salesman that blew everyone away in 2007.
They just discovered Pauls soul mate on the show this year. Susan Boyle auditioned for the show recently, and she, like Paul, blew the judges away with a jaw dropping performance.
Although not a fan of opera, I can appreciate a great voice. Freddie Mercury taught that lesson to everyone if nothing else...

Class
Thy name is Charley Pride.
[...] After the case was brought to Pride's attention, he flew from Dallas to Leduc to reimburse her.
"I've always made sure that ... none of the promoters or whoever charge too much for my tickets from the very beginning of my career," he said. "It's just a matter of what's fair … I wouldn't want to pay this much money to see myself!"
In addition to the $933 US, Pride gave Sharp two front-row tickets to his Edmonton show. [...]
And now, here is Charley Pride... with another Albertan singing "Just between you and me".

Liberals put on notice
By Iggy...
The "money" quote...
“If we want to function at the top of our game there has to be some degree of discipline and accountability,” Mr. Cuzner said.
Notice that nowhere are they talking about accountability to the people who elect them. Just damn well make sure you are accountable to the party and show them the money.

Radical Islam is A Fact of Life
My apologies to Dr. Hook...
Throwing Stones (edit #4)
Well we are big rock flingers, we've got laser guided stingers
And we're hated everywhere we go
We talk about peace and we talk about truth
Our Mullahs can sure put on a show
It takes all kinds of kills to give us all kind of thrills
But the thrill we've never known
Is the thrill that'll get you when you get your scriptures
On the covers and Throwing Stones...
Throwing Stones...
Wanna see our scriptures on the cover
Throwing Stones...
Wanna buy five copies for my mullah
Throwing Stones...
Wanna see his smilin' face
When he sees the covers and starts Throwing Stones...
You think we're crazy sending little old ladies
To do our dirty deeds
I've got my poor old fingerless Daddy
Makin bombs for me
Now it's all designed to blow your minds
But your minds won't be all thats blown
Like the blow that'll get you when you see our scriptures
On the covers and Throwing Stones...
Throwing Stones...
Wanna see our scriptures on the cover
Throwing Stones...
Wanna buy five copies for my mullah
Throwing Stones...
Wanna see his smilin' face
When he sees the covers and starts Throwing Stones...
We got a lot of little teenage blue-eyed groupies
Who do anything we say
We got a genuine Talaban guru
He's teachin' us better ways
We got all the friends that money can buy
So we never have to die alone
And we keep gettin' stricter yet we can't get our scriptures
On the covers while Throwing Stones...
(still needs some polishing...)
But Newsweek will do.

Not exactly what I want to be doing at 100
However it beats being dead...
Kudos to Max Fabian who seriously reminds me of my oldest brother...
[...] Anxious employees clinging to their jobs in these uncertain economic times might do well to heed advice from Max Fabian, who next month hits the century mark and is still working.
Make yourself invaluable, he says. And pay attention to the boss.
"Do the job the best you can and listen to the man on top," said Fabian, who turns 100 on March 9. "That's how you keep the job."
Five days a week, Fabian climbs into his Buick LeSabre and drives from his Niles home to A-Z Industries Inc. in Northbrook, where he has worked for more than 20 years as a "jack-of-all-trades." [...]
How can you not be impressed...
