When Right is Wrong
OK..I am thoroughly confused. So... if I have got things figured out right...
A) It is acceptable for the liberal party to rip off the country at will.
B) It is acceptable for the liberal party to lie and shrug away responsibility for their actions.
C) It is acceptable for a founding member of the BLOC to now be a prominent member of the liberal caucus as transport minister.
D) It is acceptable to vote Liberal as long as there is never a Prime Minister from the west.
E) It is acceptable for Quebec to have a party that runs in "federal" elections yet has no representation anywhere but in Quebec and serves only Quebec.
F) It is acceptable to appoint high power position within Canada to friends of the Liberals.
G) It is acceptable to have a leader of the country who's family openly fly flags of convenience to avoid paying taxes in Canada and to avoid Canadian labour laws. Which by the way he himself decided on before handing over the reins of that company.
H) It is acceptable to think that westeners are just whining when they speak about alienation and or separation.
I) It is acceptable(enter anything with the word liberal or easterner associated to it here)
J) When a western Conservative, serving as manager of the Edmonton East riding would merely suggest things like..."Many of us in Alberta are working on our last federal campaign if the Liberals remain in power we will be working on Alberta separation after January 23..." it is totally unacceptable.
So lets take a look at this a little closer.... The liberals do the "wrong" things and that's "right". Mr. Stamp does the "right" thing by trying to work for a better Canada one more time. In doing so he clarifies that by saying its the last time he is willing to do so if the Liberals regain power. He then declares if that should happen then he will work for the separation of Alberta from Canada. He is open, honest and has done nothing immoral or illegal but this is "wrong".
Well this Albertan has this to offer. If anyone out there thinks that this is an uncommon opinion here in Alberta.... well lets just say that Mr. Stamp may get the last laugh in on this one. This is not a threat from Albertan's. Nor is it a cry from a baby needing attention as some might say. It is a simple fact that many Albertan's feel the same way. Many Albertan's are tired of the scandals, mismanagement and simply disillusioned by the current government in power.
Vote the way you choose. That is your right. Just as it is Mr. Stamps and many others right to voice their opinion on what they plan on doing should the liberals win even a minority in the upcoming election. This election is the last kick at the can so to speak for many in Alberta.
Update:
balbulican over at Stageleft has an excellent post on this topic. In particular he writes....
I personally don’t believe either (1) or (2), and would propose (3): many westerners are frustrated at a federal structure and division of power and resources more reflective of a 1.5 century old model of Canada than the current reality, and see in the new Conservative party a vehicle for achieving a new and more equitable confederation.
I only wish I could put my words to paper(so to speak) in such a way as he can. I will stick to my photoshoped pictures as much as possible and leave the writting for the most part to those that are more competent.

Liberals Anonymous a 12 step program
These are the twelve steps of Liberals Anonymous.
1) Admit you were powerless over Liberal ideology; that your life had become unmanageable.
2) Come to believe that a power other than Liberal could restore you to sanity.
3) Make a decision to turn your will and your life over to the care of conservatives as you understand them.
4) Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourself.
5) Admit to yourself, and to another human being the exact nature of your wrongs.
6) You are entirely ready to have the conservatives remove all these defects of character.
7) Humbly ask them to remove your shortcomings.
8) Make a list of all persons you have harmed, and become willing to make amends to them all.
9) Make direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10) Continue to take personal inventory and when you are wrong promptly admit it.
11) Seek through policies and meditation to improve your conscious contact with conservatives, as you understand them, asking only for knowledge of there will for you and the power to carry that out.
12) Having a conservative awakening as the result of these steps, you shall try to carry this message to liberals, and to practice these principles in all your affairs

Must be the name?
Ralph Klein our lusterless King refuses to give up his throne even though he is plum out of idea's for the province of Alberta and has lost his edge.
Ralph Goodale refuses to step down as finance minister as he...well... is a liberal, and as such is entitled to his possition no matter what is the right thing to do under the circumstances.
"It's very clear from the comments of the RCMP that they have no information, no evidence, no indication of any wrongdoing on my part and no direct allegation against me personally," Goodale told reporters Wednesday at his constituency office in Regina.
"I'm very anxious to make sure that my reputation for integrity is absolutely vindicated, because that is a very crucial part of who I am and what I stand for -- that's been my modus operandi for over 30 years."
Integrity would suggest doing the right thing as many have done before you Ralph. Step aside while the investigation is ongoing and if it is found that you had nothing to do with this you are more than welcome to resume that possition. That is if the liberals should continue to be the ones holding the purse strings come January 23rd.
Strange that this is all about "income trust funds". Do you "trust your income" in the hands of the liberals? Waste lots, want lots....
I know I don't. I will be voting for John Williams Member of Parliament for Edmonton-St. Albert

Jumpin Jack Flash in a Pan
I'm a happy to say that Jack Layton blessed us here in Edmonton with an appearance at the Provincial Legislature. His message....
We interupt this post to bring you very important news... several moose have been hanging around 184st and 137ave Please be careful driving in this area.... and now back to Jack....
"You (Klein) are not going to destroy public health care,"
"New Democrats won't let you."
"We founded medicare. And we'll protect and improve it. Working families have the right to know that public health care is there for them – and for their parents, who deserve dignity after a lifetime of building this country."
"back off"
Jack obviously has not been keeping up with the news while campaigning.
Not to mention I am very sure Ralph is shaking in his boots at the moment. Such a threat by Layton must be taken seriously, after all he has the unions backing... oh wait.... that was up until this election... my appologies.
Back to the moose dilemma

King Martin?
Is CBC up to it's "non partisan" spinning once again? Subliminal messages seem to be the way they are trying to get their message across to Canadian's.
First it was the cartoon editing of Stephen Harper that Stephen Taylor noted on Dec. 11 which I have 'stolen' oooops...Thanks Stephen... The first is the actual cartoon.... the second shows the clever editing for the link to the editorial cartoons.... Today they have the third Picture I show here for this article....National unity war of words heats up. Hmmm... I know Paul thinks he is the "king" of Canada but give me a break!

Incarceration rate hits two-decade low
From The Globe and Mail:
The number of Canadians behind bars in the country's jails and prisons fell last year to its lowest level in more than two decades, Statistics Canada said Friday.
The decline came even though there has been a “substantial” increase in the average number of adults awaiting trial or sentencing over the past decade. Read the rest here
Dino has a recent post over at BPoC in regards to a most horrendous crime that was revealed here in Edmonton on Friday. I would like to stand in line along with Dino and most of his commenters on that post. More so now that I have seen this article showing how poorly our judges are doing in regards to punishing our criminals. Yes I said punishing. Our legal system no longer sees fit to punish criminals. It would rather release criminals over and over again to reek havoc on the citizens of Canada. So called rehabilitation is what I think they call it instead and prefer. Rehab my ass, this is one social experiment that is not working!
In the comments of Dino's post, readers are already second guessing what their lawyers and the courts WILL DO and I am sad to say they are probably right. What a sad state this country has fallen into. Those who chose to break the laws of the land laugh in our faces on a daily basis and our judges can somehow sleep at night.
Update: Yet another post that directly relates. Take a look at this post from Candace over at Waking up on Planet X Her post is on a recent ruling....finally something good from the courts but wondering why it took so long and why others don't get the same kind of treatment. Also check out the comments. More proof that our legal system is failing to show us that justice is being served.

A new look for Parliament Hill
Parliament with Paul Martin as Prime Minister. Kinda pathetic looking is it not?
Now this is what Parliament would look like with Stephen Harper as Prime Minister. Notice the wonderful art work added to the walkway to the peace tower. Just what Ottawa needs.

Martin Needs acting lessons
If you missed Martins latest attempt at acting in Friday nights debate. You did not miss anything. Just his normal rhetoric. But I am sure the press and his supporters will rant about how passionate he was.
Watch Martin as he saves the country from the evil separatist's from HIS country.....
From CTV:
Martin: "Mr. Duceppe, let me say to you that the Supreme Court, the Constitution of Canada and international law all make it very, very clear that you cannot have a unilateral declaration of independence. Let me say also that I am a Quebecer, and you are not going to take my country away from me with some trick, with some ambiguous question........ blah blah blah.....
You really need to see the clip, which I'm sure will be played over and over at nausium on CBC and CTV over the the next few days to see for yourself. Can we say SCRIPTED.....

Canada's anti-gang legislation unconstitutional
Update:12/13/05....
Canadian Press
VICTORIA — The federal Crown intends to appeal a B.C. Supreme Court ruling striking down a section of the Criminal Code used by police to fight organized crime.
"It's our view that the judge erred in her interpretation of the law and we feel it's appropriate that the Court of Appeal consider the decision," Bob Prior, B.C.'s director of federal prosecution services, said on Tuesday. Prior expects the appeal to be launched within days while the case could be heard in court early next year.
Here's hoping.....
From CTV:
Last summer, B.C. police set out to prove that the Hells Angels are one of the most powerful biker organizations on the planet, and that under the Criminal Code of Canada the Angels fit the description of a criminal organization.
Police made two major raids and arrested 18 people with the intention of going after the leaders, those who rarely commit crimes themselves but allegedly pull the strings behind the scenes.
A B.C. Supreme Court judgment last week has found a similar arrest to be unconstitutional therefore the case has been put into jeopardy.
Justice Heather Holmes ruled that section 467.13 of Canada's anti-gang legislation "is of no force and effect," and that "Parliament had a constitutional duty to make clear the legal basis on which a person may determine whether he or she is one of those persons and to guide law enforcement officials in the application of the provisions,"
Basically, the Code just isn't clear enough about exactly what constitutes a criminal organization.
The ruling was made last week, but was under a publication ban until today.
Both the Hells Angels and the RCMP expect the B.C. Crown Attorney's office to appeal the ruling.
Here is the act as found on the Department of Justice Canada web site.
467.1 (1) The following definitions apply in this Act.
"criminal organization" « organisation criminelle »
"criminal organization" means a group, however organized, that
(a) is composed of three or more persons in or outside Canada; and
(b) has as one of its main purposes or main activities the facilitation or commission of one or more serious offences that, if committed, would likely result in the direct or indirect receipt of a material benefit, including a financial benefit, by the group or by any of the persons who constitute the group.
It does not include a group of persons that forms randomly for the immediate commission of a single offence.
"serious offence" « infraction grave »
"serious offence" means an indictable offence under this or any other Act of Parliament for which the maximum punishment is imprisonment for five years or more, or another offence that is prescribed by regulation.
Facilitation
(2) For the purposes of this section and section 467.11, facilitation of an offence does not require knowledge of a particular offence the commission of which is facilitated, or that an offence actually be committed.
Commission of offence
(3) In this section and in sections 467.11 to 467.13, committing an offence means being a party to it or counselling any person to be a party to it.
Regulations
(4) The Governor in Council may make regulations prescribing offences that are included in the definition "serious offence" in subsection (1).
1997, c. 23, s. 11; 2001, c. 32, s. 27.
Participation in activities of criminal organization
467.11 (1) Every person who, for the purpose of enhancing the ability of a criminal organization to facilitate or commit an indictable offence under this or any other Act of Parliament, knowingly, by act or omission, participates in or contributes to any activity of the criminal organization is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years.
Prosecution
(2) In a prosecution for an offence under subsection (1), it is not necessary for the prosecutor to prove that
(a) the criminal organization actually facilitated or committed an indictable offence;
(b) the participation or contribution of the accused actually enhanced the ability of the criminal organization to facilitate or commit an indictable offence;
(c) the accused knew the specific nature of any indictable offence that may have been facilitated or committed by the criminal organization; or
(d) the accused knew the identity of any of the persons who constitute the criminal organization.
Factors
(3) In determining whether an accused participates in or contributes to any activity of a criminal organization, the Court may consider, among other factors, whether the accused
(a) uses a name, word, symbol or other representation that identifies, or is associated with, the criminal organization;
(b) frequently associates with any of the persons who constitute the criminal organization;
(c) receives any benefit from the criminal organization; or
(d) repeatedly engages in activities at the instruction of any of the persons who constitute the criminal organization.
2001, c. 32, s. 27.
Commission of offence for criminal organization
467.12 (1) Every person who commits an indictable offence under this or any other Act of Parliament for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with, a criminal organization is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding fourteen years.
Prosecution
(2) In a prosecution for an offence under subsection (1), it is not necessary for the prosecutor to prove that the accused knew the identity of any of the persons who constitute the criminal organization.
2001, c. 32, s. 27.
Instructing commission of offence for criminal organization
467.13 (1) Every person who is one of the persons who constitute a criminal organization and who knowingly instructs, directly or indirectly, any person to commit an offence under this or any other Act of Parliament for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with, the criminal organization is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for life.
Prosecution
(2) In a prosecution for an offence under subsection (1), it is not necessary for the prosecutor to prove that
(a) an offence other than the offence under subsection (1) was actually committed;
(b) the accused instructed a particular person to commit an offence; or
(c) the accused knew the identity of all of the persons who constitute the criminal organization.
2001, c. 32, s. 27.
Clear as mud to me. Guess I shuld have stayed in school for a few more years.
Does this meen that Stephen Harper might yet have to appologize to the liberals for his comment refering them to a "criminal organization"? I can't help but wonder if Justice Heather Holmes leans a little to the left on the political scale.

Tell me it ain't so!
I could hardly believe my eyes when I read this article. Canadian Politicians are thought to be corrupt? What has our country come to? How could this possibly happen here in the greatest country in the world, the land of we are just way too nice? Someone must have gotten their stats mixed up. This just can't be true. Tell me it ain't so! (click!)
Globe and Mail:
An international group that tracks global graft says Canadians believe political parties are the most corrupt institution in the country.
The dubious distinction was awarded to Canada by Transparency International. The Berlin-based group made the determination in its latest global corruption barometer.
On a scale of one to five, where one indicates “not corrupt” and five indicates “extremely corrupt,” Canada's political parties scored a 3.9 — same as the U.S. Israel received a 4.5.
When it came to the impact of corruption on political life, Canada scored a 3.3, as opposed to 3.2 in the U.S.
Asked whether they expected the level of corruption to change over the next three years, 38 per cent said they believed it would increase, while 17 per cent said they thought it would decrease.
The 38% must represent the liberal voter that fully expect Martin and the gang to win the upcoming election.

Flushing out the Liberals
Time for a little HOUSE cleaning. Be sure to flush often as this amount of crap won't go down easy. Please don't forget to thoroughly clean the bowl afterwards with a germicide as the bacteria left behind is very toxic! Make sure you get under the rim as that is where this scum likes to hide.

The truth, You can't handle the truth
I don't know about the rest of you, but I have had enough of the bullshit being shoveled by the Liberal Party of Canada. They make promise after promise yet seldom deliver on those promises. They fail to act on anything meaningful until of course they have their backs against the wall and even then, all they do is whatever it takes to save their sorry butts. They would not know the truth if it jumped up and bit them in their political behind's.
They do not care about this country nor it's people. They are there to control power and to take as much from us as they can. It's about money, nothing more nothing less. The longer we the people of Canada allow them to stay in power the more money we will feed into their pockets by whichever means they choose.
There is plenty of evidence out there of the corruption in this government. I need not spell it all out here again. The latest being the allegations of a leak as pointed out quite clearly by the volumes in trading just prior to the "income trust" announcement by finance minister Goodale. MK Braaten has been following and posting on this one extensively. I'll bet that this will not even be investigated, never mind charges being laid as long as the liberals are in power.
Adscam in my opinion is only the tip of the iceberg. Until we put another party in the PMO, we will never know the true extent of the corruption and the amount of money that is involved. HRDC and the gun registry are just two of the massive over run budgets that have yet to be fully explained as to where the money went. We are not talking millions here as in adscam, both of these were and are in the billions of dollars.
It is way beyond time for a change. It is time for accountability. It is time that we have a chance to get to the bottom of where all of that money has gone. It is time that criminal charges be laid against anyone and everyone who has stolen from the taxpayers of Canada.
We the people of Canada need to stand up and take back our country from those who are using it for their own personal gain at our expense. We stood up in 1993 and punished Mulroney and the PC party for far less. It is now time to do the same to the Liberal Party.
Don't just "STAND UP FOR CANADA", STAND UP AND TAKE YOUR COUNTRY BACK!
Vote Conservative, vote NDP, vote Green, vote for the BLOC.

The Truth About Weapons and Crime
If anything should be banned in this country it should be clubs and other BLUNT WEAPONS followed by knives and then possibly..... voting Liberal....
From: Saskatchewan M.P., Garry Breitkreuz
Violent crimes involving firearms result in fewer injuries (and less serious injuries) than do violent crimes involving other kinds of weapons. This pattern is the same for armed robberies and for armed assaults.
48% of assaults involving firearms result in the victims being injured, while 53% of assaults involving knives result in injuries, and 76% of assaults involving clubs or other blunt weapons result in injuries.
12% of robberies involving firearms result in a victim being injured, while 17% of robberies involving knives result in injuries, and 47% of robberies involving clubs result in injuries.
Personally I think we should just ban criminals, problem solved.

For the Liberals And Paul Martin, I Give Thanks
I sincerly wish Mr.Ron Thornton would write more often. His latest is well worth checking out. He begins with the following:For the Liberals And Paul Martin, I Give Thanks
December 4, 2005
With the dawn of a new election campaign coinciding with our preparations for the upcoming holiday season, I think it appropriate to give thanks to those that make me proud to be Canadian.
I am thankful for Prime Minister Paul Martin, who decided against a proposal to put the campaign off to the New Year. If he had not done so, he would not have had the opportunity to remind us that Christmas is the traditional holiday that nears, not some generic pagan winter festival. May he remember this in Decembers to come.
And it continues here.

Tree's 101
This is a typical fir tree. Very full, viberant and well looked after.
This is a typical Christmas tree. Notice that it is adorned with Christmas decorations and has Christmas presents under it.
These are Holiday trees. Note that just like us humans they are out of their normal enviroment when on holidays.
Now you too can tell the difference! It is not really that hard now is it?

Paul Martin's New Flag
Paul Martin Loves Canada. Yet CSL continues to fly foriegn flags of convience on their ships. Therefore they also do not pay their fair share of taxes in Canada. Ya ya... I know legaly, Paul does not control the company. But you would think that he would have some pull with his own kids would you not? Optics are eveything, and even trifocals won't clear this one up. So to help Martin out I have created a new flag for him and his family. At least it acknowledges that there is a Canada and not just in the name. They could always reject this flag and choose to fly the Canadian flag. Highly unlikely though as that would cut into the profits of the company. You know, the Millions in "CANADIAN" contracts that the company received.
Stephen Harper:
"All Canadians love their country, and sometimes show it by waving a flag - the flag of Canada, not Liberia or Barbados, and they pay their taxes, whether they want to or not, in Canada."
