I have never said one word on this or any other site regarding SDA other than a thank you to Candace for a post she linked there to my blog while she was "guest posting". I think the crap flying around out there in regards to some of Kate's coments is sooooo over blown and twisted it is pathetic. I do not blame her for her reactions.
Personally I would love MWW to coment on a post I did "Ruffling the Head dress" back in October. I am rather surprized she never did. But then, I don't have the popularity that Kate has as to bolster her agenda so what would be the point?
Your positive example? You are very positive when it comes to things you agree with... no doubt about it. But then you are negative to the extreme when you disagree with anothers point of view. So get off your high horse!

Yes, in a moment of insanity last evening, I thought I'd restart Ianism... three issues of the day motivated me :)
But Word Press wasn't playing very nicely so for now, I've removed my blog again - when I have a chance, and feel motivated enough, I may try to work out the Word Press issues so you can all read about "online stalking" again.
This term, applied to folks who reply to others' comments on various blogs must get an award for "most insane thinking term ever to be applied to the Internet." Stalking... yeesh, here I am, sitting at my computer, in my home, responding to other peoples' words with my own words, and that apparently is "stalking."
The solution is simple. If you don't want someone to reply to your words, don't f*ckin' post your words!

So what parts don't you agree with, and why, exactly? Can you point to any premise that is incorrect, or is your disagrement with anything that you might find disagreeable, based on your emotion, instead of reality?
Don't worry.. I'll slag Anonalogue often, when I feel motivated to do so.. but my slagging isn't for Anonalogue alone. Either the premise I write from is correct, or it is not. If indeed it is correct for Anonalogue, it is correct for anyone else who makes absurd allegations of "online stalking."
Regardless of whether you choose to "like" them or not.
My comments about Anonalogue are "unvirsal" in that.. anyone who engages in the same sort of insane thinking, regardless of how "popular" they may be, or whether they identify themselves as being "left" or "right," will get the exact same slagging.
For if indeed, Anonalogue DOES have some inherent principle to draw upon, to feel, in truth, that he is being stalked, then.. that same principle, if it exists, Kate McMillan can reach for as well. If however, Anonalogue's idiocy and insane thinking regarding this is indeed, insane, then so is Kate's. Based on principle alone. It has nothing to do with empathy, sympathy, or sharing similar beliefs.
Has Kate McMillan been "stalked" on line or not? If so, then why can't Anonalogue claim the same thing?
Ian.. I have been reading blogs for much longer than I have ever comented and even thought of starting up my own. I have read all the articles at kates site that started that whole dispute with MWW. I have also seen the crap that Mww has on her sites. Yes I do believe that Kate has recieved some unfair treatment over those posts. They have been twisted and exagerated not to mention taken totally out of the context it was intended. Although stalking may be the wrong discriptive of what has happened to Kate in the past year, what MWW has done is beyond anything acceptable in my mind. Kate has every right to defend herself. This has gone on for far too long and the only one who keeps it going is MWW. That being said, as far as I am concerned this is between the two of them. Having the rest of the blogging community taking sides and posting more on it is liken too a elementary school playground. Besides if Kates posts were "hate crimes" or "racist" as proclaimed, she would have faced charges long ago.
Anonolouge on the other hand, attacks people for no apparent reason. His claims have no bearing on anything that remotely resembles "reality". His rant here is proof of that. Simply because I and a few others find Zorphs blog humorous is enough reason for him to attack. I will admit that Zorph has lost his zing in the last little while. Too many veggies and not enough meat is my guess.....;) What Anon seems to miss is that the only time anyone even remotely says anything about him is when he goes off on his little tangents making his outragous claims.

Lost my zing, damn. Well to tell you the truth it is hard to be funny all the time and sometines there are serious issues that I wish to talk about. Still I think I manage to come up with good yucks. I think the Chow-Chow article was very good.
But it is hard work coming up with new material all the time and then there is real life to deal with. Of late, real life situations with family and clients have been demanding a lot of my attention.

Tim, the danger of what you are saying is that it comes close to desiring someone to be sanctioned by virtue of "not liking" what they write, or by how many times they write what they do.
If indeed this is a popularity contest, I'd suggest to you that Kate has not been hurt in the least by what MWW has written.
As far as truth is concerned, Kate has as much to answer regarding her words as anyone else. Insinuating mental instability, using her popularity to persuade others to believe such (and believe me, I know that Kate has also commented on a variety of blogs when the issue had something to do with what I had written - just because she has done it less often makes the action "ok?") along with her desire to have bloggers given credibility but yet her own reporting of "news" has lacked in this regard, seems to be missed in this whole thing by those that like much of what Kate writes about.
ALL MWW has done, is write words and post some satirical pictures. No one is forced to go and read those words, just as no one is forced to read McMillan's words. However, just as MWW has put her words out for the public to read, if they so wish to, and have others comment on them, so has Kate.
What does it matter, how often, or how satirical, this is done?
Perhaps to some, MWW may get boring sometimes, with her repeated questions in blog comments.
But couldn't one say the same regarding Kate, on a variety of blogs in the comments section, insinuating "mental instability" regarding MWW? But of course, those who like what Kate rights, with respect to right of centre politics, won't criticize Kate for her own delusional writings regarding MWW.
Funny enough, after Kate posted, in a few different places, suggestions that someone should contact MWW's husband to encourage him to get her phsychological help, and then I pointed out that I had regular contact with both MWW and her husband, Kate suggested I needed "help."
You see, Kate confuses her own fantasies with reality. She confuses words with things. When she starts to insinuate that some nickname might be another person because of what SHE sees as "writing style," without ever telling us her training or skills in recognizing such, or what makes her an expert on this (there are experts who study writing style to determine who may have written something), then her credibility is zilch.
Her popularity, however, may increase. But we're no further to "truth" are we?
Believe me, I do agree with some of what Kate writes. MY issue with Kate are her own double standards. And this latest regarding the accusation of "cyber stalking" is simply - pathetic. Go ask anyone in REAL LIFE who has REALLY been stalked, and ask them if there is any comparison, in REAL LIFE, to someone that writes words on a websites, in the comfort of their own home, behind a monitor to what Kate is trying to insinuate. Or anyone else for that matter, that calls someone a "stalker" for responding to their comments, whether on a blog comment thread, or on a variety of other websites.

Your are very correct and I am willing to bet that the average reader of the posts at the CBC round table have no clue regarding this whole mess. Nor was it the place for anyone to add to or continue that dispute. The round table is or at least I thought was for bloggers of differing political stripes to give their point of view on the election at hand.
I don't agree with anyone 100% of the time and I would imagine that goes for the vast majority of any given population. This blog is full of satire as that is what I do here. I get serious now and then when something really grabs my attention. I don't know what I'll do if the liberals fall in this election..they are my bread and butter.... I certainly don't think that everyone that pops in here would agree with any or all of what I have posted... I welcome both criticism and or praise...
What I don't expect anyone to do is to twist what I have written or photoshoped into something it is not.

When it come to blogging, writing styles is often one of the few detailes about someone that we have. Most people don't post their name, or picture, or other details about their life for obvious reasons. So "writing styles" is pretty much all we have left to go on. Everybody has a different style. You can tell the difference by the words they choose, and in which order they commonly use them. Or some people use unique catch phrases, that no one else uses. Or commonly misspell words: there, their, they're...you get the point.
So IMHO, writing styles is a legit way of telling who someone may, or may not be.
That's it... that's all... that's my two cents.

Sycorax, when words are instead judged by who you think wrote them, you are then engaging in a form of ad hominem, instead of addressing the actual words.
