Bumped... and Updated...
Turns out it is both.
Toronto Centre and Willowdale were no surprise. Had Bob Rae and Martha Hall Findlay not won those ridings I would be dead now from pure shock.
In Vancouver Quadra, Dion had the luck of the Irish on his side as it was a fairly close race. Which was a bit of a surprise for me at least. I figured this one would be another Liberal landslide. Joyce Murray managed to squeek out a win in this one with approx. 36% of the vote. The lowest percentage of all the winners.
Liberal - Joyce Murray - 10,155 votes - 36.1%
Conservative - Deborah Meredith - 10,004 votes - 35.5%
Desnethé--Missinippi--Churchill River was the one I thought could go to any of the parties. The Conservative, Rob Clarke, managed to pull off the win. He should be thanking Dion big time for this win. I am sure that Dion appointing a candidate for the libs was the death nail.
So Dion, how is that appointing thing working for ya? You are now 0 for 2... Keep up the good work! I'm positive PM Harper would love to see you appoint a whole bunch more before the next election. He would love those extra seats in the house....
The people decide in 4 bi-elections tomorrow...
Dion needs strong showing in March 17 byelections
Let the judgment begin...

Here's hoping the leper makes the day. Not that I would wish leprosy on anybody... however, your analogy is a good one.
Bi-elections? .. guess I should pay more attention... didn't even know they were happening...
Candace...
I made an "analogy"? And it was a good one ta boot... Yay me! Seriously, It just came to me in a very bad dream... or was it while I read Calgary Grits blog on the topic? OK it was the later of the two...
