What song was at the top of the charts when you were born, or any other day for that matter? Unfortunately it only gives US, UK and AUS results but it is interesting none the less...
My birthday songs are...
"Our Day Will Come - Ruby & The Romantics" in the US.
"Summer Holiday - Cliff Richard and The Shadows" in the UK
"Hey Paula - Paul & Paula" in AUS...
Have some fun for a change!
Update: Apparently the direct link to the page for this will not work. It will take you to the Index page only. Once there, you must then Click on the "Birthday Number One" link. there you can select any year, day and month... sorry bout that...

Darn ... they don't have the year I was born on that page... guess I was hatched... LOL
That's odd, I would have thought the number one hits when you were born would have been Yankee Doodle or Camptown Races....
Mine was the Beatles, My wifes was Floydd, Wish You Were Here....talk about a generation gap !!! Oh, and she HATES Floydd....
Ab.. sorry about that...the link I put up did not work as intended. See update and try again...
Dazz...
Smart ass! You are not that much younger than I... The Beatles...geez that descriptive...only leaves like what... 2,000 songs to guess upon... which ONE! Slap that women for me will ya... How can anyone who appreciates music NOT like Floyd? (It only has one D... :P) Yes we know you robbed the cradle... what does surprise me is that she is not even your cousin! You must have brain washed that child.... da dunt dunt... I'm here all week, try the veal, its delicious...
Me neither, AB. I guess we were born before there was music. LOL!!
I remember the Cliff Richards song, though, but this is the first time I've seen the video. I must say, I'm proud to be part of the generation that invented "corny".
Ok.... I tried again with the new link... "Singing The Blues - Guy Mitchell" ... A question comes to mind... who in the hell was that? .. guess it doesn't really matter that much... some doctor was slapping my ass at that time...and that better be all he did...
Louise...
try again following the Update instructions... The music didn"t die till 1971... ;) It wasn't corny back then... It was hip!
AB...
Never heard of him myself
Guy Mitchell did the original version of "Singing the blues" that was a #1 hit for 10 weeks. I am more familiar with Marty Robbins rendition. Thanks Mom....
Nope. Still doesn't work for me. The earliest date is a year after I was born. And I agree the music died in 1971.
Louise...
So you were right the first time...
"I guess we were born before there was music"... lol
Guess you were born at the end of the "big band" era and prior to the "pop" era...
