Prime Minister Harper today Announced: "Our position is clear. Do the Québécois form a nation within Canada? The answer is yes. Do the Québécois form an independent nation? The answer is no and the answer will always be no,"
Is this yet another can of worms that has been opened over Quebec? I doubt it if for no other reason than the way he chose his words so very carefully. Lets take a look at some definitions regarding nation.

I find this part in particular quite intriguging. Etymology: 13c: French, from Latin natio tribe. Tribe eh? The things you learn while blogging. I'd say that PMSH did his homework on this one. We might as well just add Quebec to the list along with the 633 other nations within Canada. Duceppe can continue to have "formal government-to-government relations with the Crown, enjoy limited internal self-government and administer their territories", Quebec.
Got to love it when a plan comes together. Especially when it is done so quickly and out of the blue. Yes that would be Tory Blue.

I agree, this is a whole different monster being opened up here. I think it paves the way for Quebec holding another referendum in the future, so it all depends on whether or not you want Canada to stay as-is or not.
I'm still not too sure what to think of this, or what effect it will have on the conservatives chances of more seats in Quebec.
Time to troll the left side of the street and see what the scuttlebut is over there I guess.
Left right center communist...it just doesnt matter. If they, the seperatists have enough support, they will seperate no matter what anyone thinks or says Dazz. Personally I just don't see that happening. They have too much to lose and this seperatist thing gets them more and more as they continue to play the game. The rest of Canada has a hand with 4 aces and a king. We know we have them beat but we for some reason won't call their bluff. What we need to do is give them a royale flush in the royale comode. Quit the pandering to them, they will sink or swim on there own. No more deals of any kind for Quebec...its as simple as that. Call their f'ing bluff once and for all.
