What a Waste of Time and Money

OK, I spent the whole weekend doing my part to save the planet. I made zero effort to do anything that would use up any energy at all. I feel so much better now that I have done my part. Not to mention that I think I have finally gotten rid of that bug that was nagging me for the past week or so. Now if I could only get rid of the bigger bug that is infecting the planet, or at least a large portion of the humans occupying the planet. Kyoto/Human caused Climate Change, the newest plague to infect the brains of humans. It is far worse than BSE is to cattle. Kyoto does not effect the nervous system as does BSE, it goes right to the brain and wipes out all common sense.

It is nice to see some in the main stream are starting to give the "Deniers™" some air time. A new Documentary is set to air Thursday March 8th in the UK. I hope it makes it's way to the airwaves here very soon.

'The Great Global Warming Swindle' - backed by eminent scientists - is set to rock the accepted consensus that climate change is being driven by humans.

"It's very rare that a film changes history, but I think this is a turning point and in five years the idea that the greenhouse effect is the main reason behind global warming will be seen as total bollocks.

"Al Gore might have won an Oscar for 'An Inconvenient Truth', but the film is very misleading and he has got the relationship between CO2 and climate change the wrong way round."

Seeing that the topic has come up in the quote above of Inconvenient Truths, how can one ignore this little tidbit in regards to how rushing to find other sources of fuel, eg. ethanol, are not well thought out by the "Oil Industry and Human Haters Club™".
But a growing number of economists, scientists and environmentalists are calling for a "time out" and warning that the headlong rush into massive ethanol production is creating more problems than it is solving.

Now given the choice of what to do with 1.5 billion dollars, I know that this would be one of the last things I would be wasting it on.
Alberta plans to pour some of the millions of dollars expected from Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Eco Fund into construction of a $1.5 billion carbon dioxide pipeline, says Premier Ed Stelmach.

I personaly think that money would be far better spent fighting the Mountain Pine Beetle that is wiping out our northwest pine forests at an alarming rate. Money spent fighting something that is real and not just a hypothesis. What a novel idea.

You know.... you bring up a good point. The eco freaks have re-focused so much attention to drive funding onto a socialist scam that does nothing, and sacrificing things that would actually make a difference in the environment. As an example, why not take the money and put it into the pine beetle problem, or into research on controlling the particulate matter that turns the air brown. These eco freaks got it all backwards, but I guess you can't blame them as they've been brainwashed by Gore, Suzuki, and MSM that CO2, which we need to live, is the all evil nasty bad devil that is gonna put us all in our graves.

Great post Tim...

You know, there are so many errors in this statement, I'm not even going to bother trying to correct it ~rolling eyes~

Tim,

Do you have a time and date for this Documentary, when it will be showing, what stations. I would be interested.

Thanks

I am very interested myself Zorph. At the moment the only place I can find that it is airing is on BBC channel 4 in the UK on Thursday March 8th at 9pm local time. I will be keeping my eyes and ears peeled and will let you know as soon as I hear of anything further. I would imagine it won't be long after it airs, that it will be on youtube or the likes there of.

You can often find the links right on BBC (bbc.uk.com, I think) - if not, someone, somewhere, will YouTube it, I'm sure.

Tim, I'm not sure the sequestration/pipeline idea is still theoretical. I could, of course, be dead wrong on that and am too lazy to look it up (doing my part to reduce ghgs).

You are right about sequestration Candace. It is a viable although expensive way to recycle CO2. I was referring in a more general way to the whole Human caused climate change/Kyoto fiasco as being a hypothesis... Me bad for being vague... my apologies...

Sorry AB... did not mean to ignore your comment... I may not be a "Environmentalist" per say, more of a nature lover to the bone (no not in the tree hugger sense either). More like in a Grizzly Adams way... I have no problem with money being spent on things that will protect and clean up our environment. Carbon credits and hypothetical bull does not cut it. I would like nothing more than to see pollution in all forms reduced in massive amounts. Concentrating solely on CO2 emissions is wrong in so many ways.
