It's just amazing how OUR money is handled, and how it totally vanishes in the black hole we call government, and it always seems to attract looters and parasites to that so called profession.

Just wait until after the election. When nothing happens, but taxes go up. We have millions of examples, but the one that fries my butt the most is the recent Edmonton election. We spend 93 million on a goofy art museum, that should have been privately funded, so the elite can suck on wine, and look at dead chickens on a stick, and right after the election are faced with a double digit tax increase to fix the f#$$%% roads..... grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I could not agree with you more. Governments at all levels have totally gone off track on what it is they are supposed to be doing. The art gallery being a perfect example of that fact. Another one was the pyramid scheme we know as our City Hall. The biggest waste of money and space in our downtown. So small that it can only provide room for the mayor, councilors and their "valuable" staff... meanwhile we pay to have all other city offices in buildings scattered all over the downtown area. They could have easily built one building that would have all city office in one place on that site. But nooooo they had to make an artsie fartsie statemnt instead...

Look at them? Are they "art" or canapes? Who knows?

Gawd. I know we need to spend on infrastructure, but could someone, somewhere, apply some friggin' LOGIC TO THIS?

Candace - Nope... can't seem to find it, but we paid someone a whack of cash out east for dead chickens on a stick that was called art. Seen it on either SDA, or the Western Standard... That was when Chretien was in power. We also payed 1 million to a piece of so called art that was destined for the dump at an American museum.

Logic was Common Sense's spouse, both were killed in a car accident somewhere back in the 1960's if I remember correctly...
