Without Government Regulations

Nice to see that some of our major oil producers are in fact doing something to cut down on pollution WITHOUT the government regulating it. The greening of the oil sands

I still say that everyone has lost focus, and ignoring the root cause of the warming to begin with, and this is going to come back and bite us, much like the Ice age bull a few decades ago. I'll quote a comment made by LP:

"Tim found a good link to copy for my files! Analysis of foraminifera "...has revealed that the Earth's climate and the formation and recession of glaciation events in the Earth's history have corresponded with variations in the earth's natural orbital patterns and carbon cycles." Interesting! Did we have SUVs 23 million years ago"

lol... I think you are missing my point and my stance AB.

Do I believe that Climate Change is caused soley by human activity? NO!

Do I believe it has more to do with the natural cycles that have been going on with the earth for thousands of years? Yes!

Have you seen any post on this Blog that suggests that I would want another NEP or the like there of? NO!

Have you seen a post on this blog suggesting man is the root cause of the problem? NO!

Do I believe we should make every effort without crippling the economy to clean up our mess? Yes!

Should we continue to search for better ways and use new technology to reduce polution of all kinds on this planet? Yes!

See the difference there? The Sky is not falling but we can still do a better job of cleaning up our mess without the need for Kyoto and endless government regulations is all I am saying.

My stand is basically....
"The more I get to know people, the more I love my dog"... or do you mean on polution or climate change? Make yourself clear man!
