Take note all you lowly dictators. While you waste your time taking control of a mere country, and hope to possibly dominate the world, G.W has one upped you all. He has taken over the solar system! Yup he has put clame on it and I guess that makes it all his. The following are from ReutersBush's top goals, as stated in the document, are to "strengthen the nation's space leadership and ensure that space capabilities are available in time to further US national security, homeland security, and foreign policy objectives" and to "enable unhindered US operation in and through space to defend our interest there,"
Theresa Hitchens, director of the non-partisan Centre for Defence Information, was quoted as saying that the Bush policy "kicks the door a little more open to a space-war fighting strategy" and has a "very unilateral tone to it."
According to the report, the Bush policy accepts current international agreements but states: "The United States will oppose the development of new legal regimes or other restrictions that seek to prohibit or limit US access to or use of space."
Okay this was too easy!

City of Edmonton has gone NUTS!
On my way home from work, I was listening to 630 CHED as I often do. I was apalled appon hearing that our city council is suggesting a 9.8% property tax hike for the 2007 budget! Are they out of their %$@#&* minds? I'm fairly sure that this will be no where near the actual increase, however I for one am going to let them know how unexceptable this is. They better take a very hard look at their budget and do some serious thinking about it. I can guarentee that those whom support this will not see the light of day come the next municipal election.
I must point out that not everyone in Alberta is rolling in dough as many seem to think. Perhaps if I were one of those folks I would not care. Perhaps if my parents were not on a fixed income, I would not care. Perhaps if I was one of those well above average income earning councillors or the mayor, I would not care.
I suggest every citizen of Edmonton show your outrage and call or write your councillor and Mayor Stephen Mandel NOW!
Just so you don't have an excuse not to. Follow the links!

Anti Israel?
PMSH came out swinging today and has liberals and dippers up in arms over his statement. Just finished watching Mike Duffy... without Mike...hope he is doin well and will be returning soon.... anyways.... both the liberal rep and the dipper rep.....(don't remember their names cause I don't care)... came out with virtually the same responce.... it was very "un Priminsterial" for him to make such a statement. Well, yes I guess stating the facts such as they are by a Priminister of Canada is something most of us find foriegn. Hey, welcome to new times. Honesty and out there in your face. Gotta love it. PMSH did not say "all" he said "virtually all" yup "virtually all". There is a big difference. Being from Alberta...(good excuse) I know very little about Bob Rae and the other front runner Mike Ignatieff. So off I went searching our best friend Mr. Google. I found some interesting reading on both of these gentleman but was quite surprised to read that Mr. Rae's father is jewish, although Bob was raised catholic, he is married to a jewish woman and has raised his children jewish. So no surprise on his pro Israel stance. I also discovered that Bobby and Mikey go back a long ways and were in fact childhood friends compliments of their fathers relationships in politics. I also discovered that Bobby like Mikey, spent quite some time away from Canada getting edumacated.... maybe I should have tried that too? Back to topic... Mikey jumps back and forth barely having time to make a firm decision on the matter throughout the years.... Bob has made his stance very clear even back in his early years. The rest seem to be well... anti Israel oh wait...anti Palistine...oh wait...anti... ummmm.ya...they are all wishy washy... I will say that John Lennon would be very proud of them all. Give peace a chance..... but wait...there is seldom peace in that region as most of the time, someone is trying to inialate Isreal. Hope that fence they are sitting on isn't a sharp picket fence. Sometimes ya just gotta choose a side. Oilers or Flames? It don't matter cause they are both Alberta teams or Leafs or Sens?... again it doesn't matter as they are both Ontario teams! NOT! OKay beat me up for usin hockey as an anology for international afairs.Whatever! Lets bring it closer to home. Your nieghbour keeps throwin his junk in your yard. You have talked to him til your face is blue. You call the police to deal with him. The police lecture him, maybe give him a warning. The next day you go out and there again is your mieghbours junk in your yard. You again talk to him. Same thing again the next day. Back come the police. They give him a fine. The next day his garbage is there yet again. Another fine. Next day same thing. Another fine? or do you take matters in your own hands to put an end to it once and for all? Personally, I'd get a friggin dump truck... fill it with as much garbage I could muster up and dump it on his front lawn. There just comes a time when you must take a stand and deffend yourself. Diplomacy is great when you can come to an agreement between the parties and stick to it. But when one party says one thing and continually does another. Its time to quit talking and use a little muscle so to speak. Here in Canada we are telling our kids in school about bullying and how bad it is. We are hammering the bullies with suspensions, fines and the like. Yet when it comes to International issues we have continually chose to sit on the fence and let it happen over and over again. Has it solved anything? Has anything really changed? Maybe for short periods but it certainly has never brought about any long term solution. We need to get tough on the international "bullies" just the same as we are doing here at home.
Here are the links to Bob Rae and Mike Ignatieff that gave me a little more insight.

Shall we play a game
GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAR WAR
Does North Korea actually have "the bomb" or is Kim Jong-Il the only "fat boy" and is taking lessons from his wife and "faking it"? At this point it is anyones guess. A very large cash of regular explosives set off underground would give the same readings as the real thing. What is his motive? Are they planning on breaking the long held ceasefire and try to take over South Korea and then.....(pinky to corner of mouth) the world? Good luck with that Kim. Even with the 3rd largest army in the world and a nuke. I guarantee this time around it won't end with a ceasefire. Is this just yet another example of power going to a leaders head and swelling it up so big that he has lost all common sense? This guy truely needs a labotomy. I suggest that some large and powerful country (won't mention any names here) should fire off an ICBM over to Kim without a warhead attached, with a big note on it saying..."This DUD is for you.... You won't be so lucky next time.... Love GW". I think Kim needs to go back into the movie vault...way back to 1983 and watch a little classic called War Games. Take a lesson from "Joshua". Thermonuclear war is a game very much like X's and O's, there simply is never a winner. Well, unless you are playing against a totally brain dead opponent, which just maybe the problem here for Kim. Give your head a shake man.

Thanks For Giving Day
I did some homework. For anyone who might want to know the numbers or at least the best estimates I could find scouring the net. I have them all here.
We have many reasons to be thankful for this day. Most of those things are possible due to the millions of Canadians who chose to join our armed forces of which approximately 109,591 gave their lives in the past 107 years in various "conflicts" around the globe. These gallant soles Left our land to do what they thought was best for the world not knowing if they would return alive. They gave up everything so you my friends could be free to do what you do this and everyday of your lives in a free country. We are one of the very few countries in the world that have not seen some kind of major "conflict" on our soil. We should all be very thankful for that.
Today I would like to thank all those who have given their lives in service of this great country we know as Canada. Today I would like to thank all of those who are currently serving in our military. Today I would like to thank all of those who have ever served in our military. I am forever thankful for everything you have stood for and against.
The following is a list of all the "conflicts" that Canadian soldiers have served and died in that I could find and somewhat confirm. If I have missed any, I would be more than happy to amend this post if anyone can give me the information and I can confirm it in some way. I found many differing numbers for some of the "conflicts" so I went with the most commonly repeated numbers I found in my searches.
The following are all numbers from one site which as I explained before seem to match many others I came across in my searches. I did not use their UN numbers as I found they did not correspond with the "official" numbers given on the UN site.
Military history of Canada
Boer War 1899 - 1902
224 Canadian deaths
An average of approx. 75 deaths per year or .20 per day.
WWI 1914 - 1919
66,655 Canadian deaths
An average of approx. 16,663 deaths per year or 46 per day
WWII 1939 - 1945
42,042 Canadian deaths
An average of approx. 7007 deaths per year or 19 per day
Korean War 1951 - 1953
516 Canadian deaths
An average of approx. 172 deaths per year or .47 per day
Canadian Military deaths in Afghanistan
Dec. 2001 still ongoing
40 deaths as of Oct 7 2006
An average of approx. 7 deaths per year or .018 per day
UN peacekeeping Fatalities by Nationality and Mission
Total of 114 Canadian deaths to Sept. 2006 in all UN sanctioned missions including the following:
MINUSTAH
June 1, 2004 still ongoing
2 Canadian deaths
MONUC
Nov. 30, 1999 still ongoing
1 Canadian death
ONUC
July 1960 - June 1964
3 Canadian deaths
UNAMIR
Oct. 1993 - March 1996
1 Canadian death
UNDOF
1974 still on going
4 Canadian deaths
UNEF
Nov. 1956 - June 1967
53 Canadian deaths
An average of approx. 5 deaths per year or .0132 per day
UNFICYP
1964 still ongoing
28 Canadian deaths
UNMIH
Sept. 1993 - June 1996
1 Canadian death
UNMIK
June 10, 1999 still ongoing
2 Canadian deaths
UNMOGIP
1949 still ongoing
1 Canadian death
United Nations Office of the Humanitarian Coordinator in Iraq (could not find a direct link of any kind to this office/project although it is mentioned in many UN documents and internet sites) The best link I could find to give some kind of info on this is: UNOHCI
2 Canadian deaths
UNOSOM
April 1992 - March 1993
1 Canadian death
UNPREDEP
March 1995 - Feb. 1999
1 Canadian death
UNPROFOR
Feb. 1992 - March 1995
11 Canadian deaths
An average of approx. 4 deaths per year or .010 per day
UNTAC
Feb. 1992 - Sept. 1993
1 Canadian death
UNTSO
May 1948 still ongoing
2 Canadian deaths
The 114 deaths in UN peacekeeping missions is the second highest total. India is number one with 119 deaths. Both countries seem to have a disproportionate number of deaths in UN missions compared to other countries involved in UN missions.
This just goes to prove that wearing a blue helmet and calling it "peacekeeping" does not protect you from the enemy. I would imagine though, that if the enemy had to wear a uniform to identify themselves to our troops, things would be much different. It is after all very hard to fight a war (oooops) "MISSION" when you could very possibly be standing beside the enemy without even knowing it. I don't suppose they would give up that information freely if they were asked either.
Happy Thanks For Giving Day everyone!

What would happen if?
After spending a few minutes over at BPOC and then ranting in his comments, I came up with a thought. Not sure it was a good thought, but a thought none the less. So here it goes.... a bunch of what if's for your enjoyment......or not.....
What would the happen if someone started up WET "White Entertainment Television" ala BET, the "Black Entertainment Television"? Would it be totally acceptable or would it be attacked and considered racist?
What would happen if someone started up an annual "Straight" Pride Day complete with parades? Would Mayors and other politicians be expected to endorse and participate in it if they are not straight?
What would happen if a girl wanted to go to an all boys school or vice versa? Would the courts rule that it must be allowed in light of past decisions? Boy Scouts, Sports ect... Speaking of which...why did the "Boy Scouts" have to change their name to "Scouts" and allow girls yet "Girl Guides" is still "Girl Guides" and boys are not allowed to join? Double standard?
What would happen if 30 girls tried out for the boys team and due to this all the boys who tried out were cut as they were not as good as the girls... would it still be the "boys" team? Or vice versa for that matter?
What would happen if someone started up "FADD" Fathers Against Drunk Driving would the folks at"MADD" Mothers Against Drunk Driving be upset? Maybe they would just join forces and become "PADD" Parents Against Drunk Driving which to me makes more sense. I know as a parent myself and being a Father, I care about this issue just as much as any Mother. Maybe that is wrong too? Maybe "PADD" should stand for People Against Drunk Driving as I know many people who are not parents that are just as concerned as parents are.
What would happen if everyone was "truly" equal? No poor, no rich, no strong, no weak, ect ect ect..... would we not all then be just mediocre? If so, who would invent new technologies and the like....who would start businesses for these mediocre people to work at? Who would make the tough decisions? Who would run the governments? Would we all then have to be the same color? What color? Would we have to be hermaphrodite so there is no differences between the sexs? Would everyone have the same color hair and eyes? Would we all be clones and look exactly the same?
And now for the biggy........
What would happen if there were no conservatives? Would everything eventually be "free" and paid for by the government? What would the tax rate be to support that and if everything is "free".....why work and pay taxes?

Can you blame him?
I was listening to Charles Adler as I do most weekdays and was amazed at this clip that he replayed yet again today on his show.
The incident took place in San Fransico on July 26 of 2006 and the the clip was taken two days later. The original story can be read here and even more details here. I have done a bit of searching to find the articles that Mr. Delages refers to in the video of the press and others questioning the chase without success. Mr.Delagnes asks some very tough questions and makes some very over whelming points in his address. It does sound awfully familiar doesn't it? Mayorthorpe ring a bell? This exact same type of thing is happening on a continual basis right here in Canada. When will we start putting these people who so blatantly snub the laws of our land where they belong, behind bars! This is the type of incident that will happen as long as we are soft on criminals. This is exactly why we need to impliment the 3 strikes law as well as other changes the CPC is proposing. Let these repeat criminals give us a damn good reason and I mean A DAMN GOOD REASON why they should ever be allowed to walk the streets again. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice shame on us! Fool us thrice.... there is something terribly wrong with the system!

House Cleaning
That was fun! Who am I trying to kid? Just spent the last two days cleaning out a worm from my xp machine. (note to self... don't let daughter come over to use computer when I'm not home) Then discovered after cleaning out the cobwebs and moth balls in my ol' blog that quite a few of the links were outdated. They are all now current and working as they should. My humble appologies to the owners of those blogs.
Just did a quick trip through the blogshpere and found that another blog I frequent is packing it in it seems. ABFreedom has too much on the go and says that this coming Friday he will be shutting down his blog. He will be missed by many including myself, of that I am sure.
If you havent already checked out the latest Bloggers Hotstove you really should. Greg, James, Jason and Mike have done a great job on this one. Hat tip to Mike of Rational Reasons for his first appearance as you would have never know it was his first. He did an amazing job (for a dipper that is... Just kidding...). Seriously, this guy is good. He should have his own radio talk show... but then he would have to change to a right winger as everyone knows talk show hosts are all right wing wacco's...
I don't know why, but I just can't seem to wrap my head around politics at the moment. Every time I start to read anything remotely related to politics my eyes glaze over the page gets blurry and a shimmering pool of water appears. Next thing I know I'm looking at the latest and greatest fishing gear available online. Damn I wish I could just aford all them new toys. Ranger sure has brought out some very nice new boats. Shimano has some great new reals and how about the new line of rods that St crioux has?..... Okay...I'm drooling all over my keyboard. Time to shut it down for the night before I do some damage here. No not to my keyboard... my Mastercard!!!!!!!!!

New Species Found in Ottawa
A new species Has been discovered slinking around Ottawa. Canadian wildlife specialist cannot explain why this species had not until very recently been seen. It appears to be a cross between a skunk and a chicken. It stinks to high heaven as to blend in very well with other odors that emanate from Ottawa. It is believed that it has a very cowardly behavior and it runs or hides at the first sign of danger. This could explain why it has never been seen. Its numbers are few and has already been added to the endangered species list. It can be easily identified by its beady little eyes, bushy whiskers, yellow belly and a prominent yellow streak running down its back. Its best defense from predators is its taste. It garners it repulsive taste by being full of shit.
It has been given the Latin name of "endeepeesious" and as of yet no one has bothered to give it a "common" name as like common sense, it is not all that common.

Sure is gettin cold
The summer has been good as long as ya didnt mind getting ripped off at the pumps. Funny how the price has dropped so dramatically since the weather did the same. I fished my brains out and tried very hard not to even think about politics. Every now and then Dino would force the issue on me at work but for the most part I was successful. I have some catching up to do by the looks of things. I see little Jack Lorner who should sit in a corner pulling out plum instead of playing politics is still blabbering away saying nothing of any conciquence. Mr Harpers speech today at the UN was extremely well done. Ya ya, I know I have a bias. Suck it up. The one thing that is sooooooo nice to hear is a politician saying meaningful things and not just spewing out what he thinks the people want to hear. Jack, ya taking notes? You should be! Who are all these people running for the leadership of the Lieberal Party? Is there a real leader in the bunch? Go Ray go!!! Closer to home... King Ralph finally handed in his resignation. Another battle to watch in yet another leadership race. One thing is for sure. Who ever replaces The King has big shoes to fill. Okay maybe thats a stretch as Ralphy is not all that big a guy. But what a character. How can anyone top his antics? Ramble Ramble ramble. Damn didn't even work on any cute little pics to put up for this post and to be honest, I'm too lazy to even google up a few at the moment. Time to peruse a few of my old haunts to see what I've been missing and who is bashing who. Take care, come back often as I am back for the winter and will be back posting on a regular basis. What else is there to do during a long cold winter in Canada? So unless we get one hell of an ewwwwwwwww politically incorrect..."Indian Summer" I'm here for a while.

A Feast Fit for a King
First we had the appetizer.... a nice helping of "Wings" from Detroit...
Then we were served up some sushi..."Shark" sushi to be exact....imported from San Jose...
Then they served up some "Ducks"... still spittin out those tiny bones and finding it a bit hard to digest....
You would think that would be the main course... Is there more to come?
Could it be? Is it possible? Will the main course be.... "Buffalo" Burgers?
Or perhaps it will just be a large "Hurricane" party to finish things off with?
Stay tuned

It's alive! Just like the CPoC and PM Harper...very much alive and kicking... work on the house is still on going...funny how once you start it just keeps growing and growing... have fourty projects on thego and not one is finished...nope not even the kitchen from hell. At least the thing is usable and the new dishwasher is installed and working... just need to finish making doors and drawer fronts for a couple cabinets...do the trim work... wall tiles...add some accessories and it will be done...sounds simple enough...hmmm how do they do all this in a half hour on TV and it takes me months? Somethin fishy goin on there me thinks... so now my kitchen is "almost" done...the laundry room is "almost"... the living room is "almost" done.... the two bedrooms are "almost" done....the bathroom is "almost" done the office IS done.... priorities okay...lol.... the yard...well lets say it is a lost cause so far...the sod i put in last summer is a large patch of brown...all the rain and fertilizer in the world won't bring it back... the nieghbours cats love my flower gardens and have dug up all the perenials I put in last year...and my faithful companion Roxy has killed the one section of good lawn I did have... The saga continues.... Are we havin fun yet? No seriously.... are we?

Disaster Strikes

Okay... for those of you who are curious as to where the heck I have been hiding. I'm in my kitchen. The little reno I had planned has turned into a bad episode of Holmes on Homes Everytime I go to do something which should be relatively simple...say change a light fixture... I find a little something that is not done correctly or to code and has to be redone. I have now completed all the unplanned renos and have now begun to do what I thought I was going to do ohhhhhhhhhhhh... about a month ago... So here is what it looks like as of tonight and this posting. You don't want to see my living room!
Where I was standing to take this picture was a wall and a closet which I had the pleasure of ripping out along with the most ridiculous drop cieling you ever saw. The new drywalled area on the right of the pic just before the fridge is my new pantry...and behind the fridge is the new wall and doorway to hide the furnace and hotwater tank... the perils of not having a basement... My new light fixture (trouble light)can be seen hanging from the illeagal wiring that is no longer connected to anything... thank god. This place should have burt down long before now with all the crap I had found. Its a miracle it didn't. Take note of all the patching I had to do to the walls and cieling. Compliments of a dropped cieling installed by an idiot who could not find the studs or rafters if his life depended on it... there were a minimum of 6 holes (usually more)in the cieling and walls for every screw that was actually holding anything in place.
I will try to post some new pics as I move along. Things should...cross your fingers...go quite quickly now...just have to do a little sanding then I can start priming and painting. Once that is done I will be replacing the subfloor and installing the new cabinets that are now sitting in my livingroom...along with the rest of my kitchen.. oh...and the actuall new light fixtures... then some tile a coulpe of doors and walla...it will be done...
See you all soon.... wish me luck....lol

Harper and the Cone of Silence
Seems some people don't like how PM Harper is doing things. The media are sitting around waiting for anything at all. Nothing... not so much a drip never mind a leak is comming out of the new government. Well... we found out why. All meetings with PM Harper are being held under the "cone of silence". Yes thats right, the conservatives have purchased the "cone of silence" from the makers of "Get Smart". If only the Libs had been so smart during the campaign.... never mind... they still would have lost...

The Blogs are Burning and the Beheadings have Begun
It is with displeasure that I must bring to you this sad news. Hours after posting several blasphemous cartoons of Ezra, editor of the Western Standard Magazine, The Wingnuterer has been a victim of fire bombings and one of his sock puppets was beheaded. Fortunately Zorpheous was clever enough to back his blog up on a seperate server so the damage from the fire bombings was superficial at the most. Evil Lord Bump however will be sadly missed by all. Our crack news team was on hand to get some remarkable shots of the fire bombing. The poor insulted folks that performed this rightious act (fanatical right wingers no doubt although unsubstantiated)have posted pictures of Evils beheading on their web site and we have re printed them here purely for your convienence and surely not to offend anyone.
Fire bombing....

Dissapearing Act

Sorry about the lack of posts in the past week. Not that anyone really missed anything.
Just taking advantage of this wonderful weather we have been having and doing some renovations on my house. I no longer have a kitchen... so if anyone would care to invite me over for a meal or two I would be forever in your debt. A guy can dream can't he... oh well... hopefully by next weekend I will have a brand new shinny kitchen. That or I'll be sitting in the Alberta Hospital recovering from a nervous breakdown... I still have to refinish the hardwood in the living and dinning room... will it ever end? This old house will continue after these short messages....

I was spoiled as a kid and went on a camping vacation every summer... don't think there is a lake in BC, Alberta or Saskatewan that you can drive to that I have not been to...
4 week trip from Edmonton to Waterton National Park, down to Yellowstone, over to Oregon back up to Vancouver along the ocean hiway.
Barkerville BC... one of the most memorable places I have ever been to... a step back into the past.
Spoiled again... for the past 14 years I take my ass up to the cabin every year for my vacation.... fishing, watersports, quading and plain ol' relaxing...
As usual... I spare everyone from this meme... I tag nobody... your welcome...

Disappointed to say the least
Thank you Prime Minister Harper. My faith in you has dropped by a mere 20%. Some of us Canadians voted for change. We thought you were the one to bring that change. Were we wrong? I was not impressed when I heard the news that you had allowed David Emerson to walk across the floor... Oh wait... There has not even been a floor to cross yet... Not to mention give him a cabinet position. Does the name Belinda ring a bell PM Harper? Remember the fuss that was made in regards to her little walk? Well as far as I am concerned this smells just as bad.
Then just to help out things a little you appoint Michael Fortier as minister of public works and government services. Someone who is not an elected member of parliament. I know that there is a precedent for this but personally I thinks this is just wrong.
I was expecting much much more of you and these two don't cut it....

Dogs Smell Cancer in Patients'

From National Geographic News:
Early detection of cancers greatly improves a patient's survival chances, and researchers hope that man's best friend, the dog, can become an important tool in early screening.

Then and Now
(Then)In the dying days of the campaign, Layton dismissed any notion of co-operation with the Conservatives, saying it would take a major research project to identify the similarities between the parties.
He steadfastly refused to answer any questions about how he might work with a Stephen Harper administration.
(Now) "I am going to make a legitimate, determined effort to find things where there can be common action," he said in an interview with The Canadian Press.
"I believe there are ideas in all of our platforms for the parties to get something done."
Almost sounds to me like Jack is getting some good advice from Mike over at Rational Reasons. I have to give Mike much of the credit for showing me that no matter what our political leanings, we all have more in common than most would admit. Taking part in a few of the policy debates over at BPoC has definately opened my eyes to others views and I highly recommend everyone take part. Dino's latest is a policy debate on healthcare. It should prove to be an interesting one. To see the results of other debates Dino has held, check out the BPoC policies at his web site. Remember that all of these policies were developed by people of all political leanings co operating and comming to a compromise that all could agree on. If only our governments could work in the same way.

After a few days break
I am back and blogging. Now that the election is over, where does one turn his attention to? Dino over at BPoC has a little CPoC watch going on. Like him I will be watching carefully to make sure that they don't screw up and are held accountable as all governments should be.
I have spent most of the past week reading left leaning blogs and making the odd comment. What I have seen is not pretty for the most part. But I did see a few rays of sunshine peeking through the cracks at a few.
In the comming months there should be plenty to blog about when the liberal leadership race gets into full swing and Mr. Harpers New government gets settled in and parliament gets back to work. Until then...
Well... Ralph Klein seems like a good target. Little old King Ralph, the man who at one time had idea's and did a wonderful job of bringing this province out of the doldrums it was in. Yes we the fine people of Alberta paid a heavy price to get things to where they are today. Ralph slashed funding to eveything and anything to get finances under control. They were not pleasant times here in Alberta. Now times have changed and Ralphs vision is blurred. His best before date has long expired. New idea's are non exsistent. He continually rehashes the same old crap he has been spewing for the past few years. "The Third way" he proclaims proudly. Yet I challenge anyone to show me anywhere, anything in which he explains this in any detail. He keeps sqauking but we see little in the way of what he actually wants to do. Everyone can speculate and most think of the worst case senario. OMG! an American system! Personally I don't see that happening. A meeting somewhere in between the "old" Canadian system and the American system is what I forsee in the future. The option of having "essential" health care being done in the public sytem in a timely manor or having private insurance that may get you in and out a little quicker and covering non "essential" items. What one would consider "essential" and where that line will be drawn is anybodies guess at this point.
Anywho.... it is time for Ralph to go, retire, resign, be defeated, whatever the case may be. We seriously need someone with new idea's and a new inspired vision of where Alberta will head in the years to come. Who that person is... I have no clue at this point. No single person or alternate political party as of yet stands out in the crowd.

Believe it or not!

On the day before the people of Canada go to the polls, Martin continues to spew his retoric about how the evil conservatives are going to ruin this country. This man is so out of touch with reality it is simply amazing. The non issues he has brought out in a last ditch attemp to smear Mr. Harpers team and steal away victory is proof of that. Believe me Canada will continue to exsist, prosper and yes even progress under a conservative government. We might even find out where a whole lot of our money has dissappeared to and finally have some people face charges for abusing our trust. That is the liberal parties biggest fear. The truth! Something they know so little of.

Canada Is
Just a little reminder to all of us no matter our political leanings.
Music performed by Roger Whittaker
Canada is the Rocky Mountains
Canada is Prince Edward Island
Canada is a country made for love
Canada is La Belle Provence
Canada is the Yukon Mine
Canada is a country full of love
We have love for our neighbour
For whatever creed or colour
We have love for our cities
And our valleys and our plains
We have a voice that is calling
Telling all the world we're willing
To welcome them to this great land
For that's what Canada is
Canada is the Rocky Mountains
Canada is Prince Edward Island
Canada is a country made for love
Canada is La Belle Provence
Canada is the Yukon Mine
Canada is a country full of faith
We have faith in our future
We're ready for tomorrow
We have faith in our children
For our future's in their hands
We have a voice that is calling
Telling us to keep on hoping
For time will make this wild land great
And that's what Canada is
Canada is the Rocky Mountains
Canada is Prince Edward Island
Canada is a country made for love
Canada is La Belle Provence
Canada is the Yukon Mine
Canada is a country loving peace
We have peace in our valleys
We're happy and contented
We have peace in our cities
And our boundaries have no chains
We have a voice that is calling
Telling all free men we're willing
To show them how to live in peace
For that's what Canada is
Canada is the Rocky Mountains
Canada is Prince Edward Island
Canada is a country made for love
Canada is La Belle Provence
Canada is the Yukon Mine
Canada is a country full of love
Canada is the Rocky Mountains
Canada is Prince Edward Island
Canada is a country made for love
Canada is La Belle Provence
Canada is the Yukon Mine
Canada is a country full of love

Sample of the New Ballots

Your choice is clear as far as Martin is concerned! There is no other way to vote. Martins "VALUES" are the only "Canadian VALUES" that are correct. If you choose to vote any other way you are not Canadian! Welcome to Communist Canada were you get "left" in the dark....

Maybe I spoke too soon?
Okay ... this whole thing is getting out of hand. Might as well move to Cuba, China, Laos, North Korea, Vietnam or somewhere where at least I know that MY VOTE does not mean anything! Oh thats right... those are all communist countries, and the people don't get to vote. Here we go through the motions just to make it look good. This party is totally corrupt from top to bottom. True North Strong and Free my ass! The Liberal Party of Canada will stop at nothing to win this election! This is why Martin is so sure he will win. Guess all those times he said "MY COUNTRY" he really meant it.... and here I thought it was "OUR COUNTRY"....

Another Promise Martin won't Keep
Amongst the other bile Martin is spewing about conservatives in this country, Martin came out with this gem today."We are three days away from the election, and I can tell you we're going to win that election,"
Without divine intervention ... or perhaps envoking the 'war measures act' I can't see with the current polling results how Matin could keep this one. Not that that bothers him. Since when does a liberal deliver on a promisse?

New polling results
Have polling numbers got you down? Would you like to see your party numbers soar?
We here at 'Polls R Us', have the solution for every party and their supporters. We have the ability to skew any poll with the results you want. No objectivity what so ever.
Here are just a few samples of the recent poles we have completed using biased questions to get completely skewed results!
We call this one the "Tatical Councel" pole. As you can see it favours the conservatives.
Conservatives: 64%
Liberals: 15%
New Democrats: 11%
Bloc Quebecois: 9%
Greens: 1%
This one we call the "ESE WeSearch" pole. It is skewed to the liberals.
Liberals: 62%
New Democrats: 16%
Conservatives: 11%
Bloc Quebecois: 9%
Greens: 2%
This next one we call "Itsyour Read" Yes we can even make you Dippers take the lead in the polls. We truely are that good!
New Democrats: 52%
Liberals: 23%
Conservatives: 11%
Bloc Quebecois: 9%
Greens: 5%
The last one we offer is a special offer only. It comes at a very high price and must be used with great caution. We call this one the "Ekaos" pole.
Bloc Quebecois: 100%
New Democrats: 0%
Liberals: 0%
Conservatives: 0%
Greens: 0%

Its Your Choice
Yes it is up to you. You, the fine people of Canada. On Janauary 23rd you will decide which of these two items you are going to toss or more so, who you toss which one to. Its sink or float time... The sharks are swimming to the left, they're swimming to the right and you are the only voter in town. Make it count!
Personally I am tossing Martin the anchor.... his ship sunk way before the election call.... Mr. Harper is getting the life preserver... he most certainly has earned it.
Stand up for Canada.....

All the same thing?
Martin seems to think that Canadian Values and Liberal Values are one in the same. He also thinks that what the liberal party has decided on the behalf of Canada is the same as what Canadians want. Martin makes the following statements:"This election is fundamentally an election about two very different perspectives on Canada,"
"One, Stephen Harper's which has been imported from the extreme far right in the United States and the other and other based in Canadian values."
(kyoto accord)"Stephen Harper would renege on that commitment. He would break our word to the world on an international treaty."
"My government said no to it but Stephen Harper would open the door to Canada joining ballistic missile defence."
His first statement could not be more true... this election is about a different perspective of Canada... and that is a very different one that the liberals have been giving us for years.
The second statement is a little fuzzy... imported from the extreme right of the United States... Imported? Well not really... there are people in Canada that actually think the same way as some of those in the US. The US does not have a copyright on those types of views.... Extreme? I don't find anything Mr. Harper is saying is extreme... But then I am a concervative and I guess that some liberals might find his views extreme... but then again... I find the liberals views extreme... Are the values of the liberal party of Canada the same as Canadian values? I doubt that very much. As I pointed out in a previous post... I doubt very much that Canadian Values include corruption, theft, lies, broken promisses just to name a few of the Liberal Parties values as they have shown time and time again.
Yes Mr. Harper has stated he would back out of the kyoto accord and impliment other Canadian made solutions to the problem. Funny that Paul holds this one so close to his heart as he has failed his commitment to kyoto in every sense of the accord. The liberal party may have signed the accord on behalf of Canada but they sure have not lived up to it. The only "word" Mr. Harper would be breaking is that of the liberal party of Canada, they are the ones that signed onto this not Canadian's. Not to mention that the liberal party have already failed the people of Canada on this issue in a big way.
Yes Paul, here is where the fundimental part comes in... "your" party rams things down the peoples of Canada's throats... you decide what Canadian's want. Mr. Haper is willing to listen to Canadian's and give us a voice in what we will and will not support in Canada. Mr. Harper will open the door... that door leads to open and honest debate and free votes on the issues within parliament... unlike "your" party Paul. P.S. Paul... anyone who relates to a party as "my party" has issues and should seek help... correct me if I am wrong but is it not supposed to be representing Canada... not you? our party would be a far better way to state things...
Paul irritates me to no end... can you tell......

Liberal Values
This ain't one of them....
First they insulted us with Beer and Popcorn.... a couple of things Candains value very much... Now they insult us with Coffee and Donuts! Oh sure, now that Tim Hortons is dominated by an "American" company aka "Wendys", the liberals turn their backs on the one thing that Canadians truely Value Very Very much! Why don't they just tell us to "blow them".... oh yea... they said that already ... but it was just to Albertans so it's okay... Why don't they just abuse the system and take our money and pass it on to friends.... right... they did that too... okay how bout... ummmmm.... break most of the promisses they make... they did that too didn't they.... ummmmm... bribery?..... been there done that... ummmm... balance the budget on the backs of the unemployed, slashing healthcare funding and by ignoring the military... oh crap...they did that too... okay... can anyone tell me what these "values" are that Paul Martin is screeming about? So far I can't think of a single value that they have shown, as one that I would be promoting....

Slidding
From CTV:
A new study for the federal Justice Department says Canada should get rid of its law banning polygamy, and change other legislation to help women and children living in such multiple-spouse relationships. The Bailey report, consistent with other research for the project, also concludes the courts might well rule that Canada's law banning polygamy is a violation of Canada's constitutional guarantee of freedom of religion.
But Section 293 would survive such a challenge because the harm to women and children in many polygamous marriages is well documented - abuse, poverty, coercion, health problems - and the limit to religious freedom would be considered "reasonable," as allowed under Section 1 of the charter.
Chief author Martha Bailey - "In light of the fact that we have a fairly permissive society. Why are we singling out that particular form of behaviour for criminalization?"
With this type of thinking... why bother criminalizing anything?
In light of the fact that we have a fairly permissive society... why bother locking the doors to your home... we should just allow the thieves to walk in and help themselves.
In light of the fact that we have a fairly permissive society... why ban banned guns? Criminals should be allowed to have them.
In light of the fact that we have a fairly permissive society... why bother having a legal age of consent? Our children should be able to have sex no matter their age.
In light of the fact that we have a fairly permissive society... Why bother having a legal age to drink? Everyone should be able to if they choose.
Thank you BeatL(iberal) Bailey for your $150,000 load of crap! I am sure it will do this country a world of good.

Property Rights
Martin claims that Mr. Harpers view on property rights came out of nowhere. Unlike his "not withstanding clause" announcement last night I suppose. Does Martin think giving Canadians property rights is a bad thing? I know my "values" tell me that property rights are well over due in this country. Obviously Martin has no clue on a lot of Canadians "Values". I "value" my property and I don't like the fact that Martin seems to think that what I have purchased with the little money I have left after all the taxes I pay does not belong to me! He thinks that all of my property should belong to everyone.... everyone in the government that is! Just one more reason to toss him out on his sorry, tired ass.

Timbits on the Debate
Martin Lies on national debate... Gomery found the liberals completey innocent? Since when? If this is the case why did the liberal party say they were paying back 1.14 million dollars? I'm stlill trying to figure out where that amount came from.....
Martin wants to remove the "not withstanding clause"
Martin proposes to "study" an ethics policy....
Martin in favor of a two tier health system as long as it does not recieve any funding from government.
Is it just me or did Martins facial expression remind you of a bunch of bored kids in a daycare?
What a look Martin got from Duccepe when talking about the case program vote...Like "what planet is he on?" You would almost think Duccepe thought MARTIN IS FULL OF SHIT!
(Duccepe)Forget about partisan politics...just do whats best for Quebec....
Martin looking into equalization....
(Martin) Quebecer's built this land....?????????
What a joke... Martin and Duccepe doing the unity dance....
Martin admits the priminister has extreme power!
Layton claim Quebec's daycare system is what should be across Canada.... Hmmmm a dept ridden system is what we need?
Layton is starting to look and sound like an insurance salesman.... or perhaps a used car salesman?
(Martin)To cancell the childcare program would be "criminal" Nice bait and switch Martin.. Won't work!
Martin brings up the "fend for yourself" line again.... Maybe he should read Canadianna's POST!
Now that it is over... the moderator..what ever his name is...did a horendous job...
Duccepe did very well as usual all things considered...
Martin... well... I am severly biast and felt he did very poorly.. he looked tired and he still needs some acting lessons as nothing he said in his rants were believable.... his hand jestors drove me nuts as did his childish eye rolling and constant face making...
Layton... Did a good job of emphasizing the NDP way.. to bad it will not help him garner any more votes.. he missed his chance to get more of the soft liberal support by pouncng on Martin more and Harper less.....
Harper.... Was not as strong as I would have hoped... he did get a few good shots at Martin as was expected... He did a fairly good job of clairifying some of the parties policies
No clear winner as far as I am concerned.... its still up for grabs....

Planning Ahead
Some may think that this is a mistake on the part of Mr. Harper. I however take a different look at it. Unlike his rival Mr. Dithers, Mr. Harper is planning ahead, musing at the possibilities, and looking to the future. I would suggest that most of you do the same in your daily lives. Without planning ahead your life would ultimately be Kaos. We have seen what happens when there is no plan. Just look at how well the liberal campaign is going. Look a little further back and see how well the minority government worked with Paul Martin in the drivers seat. These are the types of things that happen when you fail to plan ahead. Mr. Harper took the reigns in this election. He has a plan. The Liberals are playing catch up and are simply reacting to whatever Mr. Harper does. The Liberals have no plan.
That Mr. Harper suggests that he is willing to compromise in dealing with the other parties is something Martin never considered until he was about to lose a non confidence vote.
Mr. Harper: "That's what you have to do in a minority Parliament. You do have to make compromises, but they can't be compromises that ask your own party or other parties to stand on their heads and swallow themselves whole."
Again Mr. Harper has the foresight to look ahead at what the possibilities are and how to try to make things work.
Planning ahead is a good thing....

If that was not enough, she then came out with this one.

The Liberals will fix health care.
Who broke it?
The Liberals will clean the environment.
Who ignored it?

New Stats Show Liberals Ready to Ban Vehicles

As we all know it is not the drivers that are the problem. It's those damn vehicles! Where do they come from? For the most part they are "imported" from other countries just like those damn guns!
From the Globe and Mail:
Car-crash deaths outnumber homicides Once politicians finish grappling with gangs and guns, they may want to take a closer look at a much more deadly problem: Car crash deaths outnumber homicides by almost 5 to 1.
Statistics show that 2,730 Canadians were killed in collisions in 2004, compared with 622 people slain in homicides during the same period. Yet shootings and stabbings get substantial media coverage, while crashes command very little attention.
Read the rest HERE
So while the politicians play photo op games in regards to the shootings in Toronto more criminals who drink, drive and kill are walking away with a virtual slap on the wrist.
This post brought to you by "DADDS"... Disgusted About Driving Death Statistics...

#1... I love to put .... after words... not sure why I do this but... it has become a kind of signiture for me.
#2... I am one of those "strange" people who go to the local fast food joint and get a burger and fries... "up sized" and then order a diet Coke... you know the ones that are the brunt of so many jokes lately. There are some explanations for this but we won't go into it here.....
#3... My favorite sandwich is peanut butter and banana...
#4... I have a terrible memory for almost everything except addresses...
#5... Where was I? Why am I here? What was the question?
I tag.... No one... as I have made the rounds of all the blogs I visit on a daily basis and have found that this one has already made the rounds... It dies here... You are very welcome....

HMCS LIBERAL
The HMCS Liberal is listing to the starboard side baddly. Looks like that scary iceberg has done some damage. The Liberals may be able to rise again. After all, the crap they spew does have a tendency to float. That is if they can keep their supporters from abandoning ship. Perhaps they have something up their sleeves that will bail themselves out once again.

Conservative Polling and the Rise in the value of the Canadian Dollar
Has anyone else noticed that as the numbers are rising for the Conservatives in the polls, the Canadian Dollar is rising right along with them? I know I just stated I don't follow the polls but... this one just hit me when I heard on the news that the Canadian dollar has risen above 87 cents for the first time in 14 years. Ummmm the Liberals were not in power back then were they? Hmmmm could those polling numbers be encouraging some investment in Canada? Is this a good thing for Canada or is the rising dollar going to severely impact the manufactoring sector of Canada? I know that my employer imports a fair amount from the U.S. so they will likely be enjoying this. What is this going to do to the interest rates? I am no economist, just asking the questions...

Liberal Red Riding Hood

Starring: Belinda as Liberal Red Riding Hood
Paul as the Big Bad Wolf
Anne as Mother
Ralph as the woodsman
Grandma as herself
There once was a young person named Liberal Red Riding Hood who lived on the edge of a large forest full of endangered owls and rare plants that would probably provide a cure for cancer if only someone took the time to study them.
Liberal Red Riding Hood lived with a nurture giver whom she sometimes referred to as "mother", although she didn't mean to imply by this term that she would have thought less of the person if a close biological link did not in fact exist.
Nor did she intend to denigrate the equal value of nontraditional households, although she was sorry if this was the impression conveyed.
One day her mother asked her to take a basket of organically grown fruit and mineral water to her grandmother's house.
"But mother, won't this be stealing work from the unionized people who have struggled for years to earn the right to carry all packages between various people in the woods?"
Liberal Red Riding Hood's mother assured her that she had called the union boss and gotten a special compassionate mission exemption form.
"But mother, aren't you oppressing me by ordering me to do this?"
Liberal Red Riding Hood's mother pointed out that it was impossible for women to oppress each other, since all women were equally oppressed until all women were free.
"But mother, then shouldn't you have my brother carry the basket, since he's an oppressor, and should learn what it's like to be oppressed?"
And Liberal Red Riding Hood's mother explained that her brother was attending a special rally for animal rights, and besides, this wasn't stereotypical women's work, but an empowering deed that would help engender a feeling of community.
"But won't I be oppressing Grandma, by implying that she's sick and hence unable to independently further her own selfhood?"
But Liberal Red Riding Hood's mother explained that her grandmother wasn't actually sick or incapacitated or mentally handicapped in any way, although that was not to imply that any of these conditions were inferior to what some people called "health".
Thus Liberal Red Riding Hood felt that she could get behind the idea of delivering the basket to her grandmother, and so she set off.
Many people believed that the forest was a foreboding and dangerous place, but Liberal Red Riding Hood knew that this was an irrational fear based on cultural paradigms instilled by a patriarchal society that regarded the natural world as an exploitable resource, and hence believed that natural predators were in fact intolerable competitors.
Other people avoided the woods for fear of thieves and deviants, but Liberal Red Riding Hood felt that in a truly classless society all marginalized peoples would be able to "come out" of the woods and be accepted as valid lifestyle role models.
On her way to Grandma's house, Liberal Red Riding Hood passed a woodchopper, and wandered off the path, in order to examine some flowers.
She was startled to find herself standing before a Wolf, who asked her what was in her basket.
Liberal Red Riding Hood's teacher had warned her never to talk to strangers, but she was confident in taking control of her own budding sexuality, and chose to dialogue with the Wolf.
She replied, "I am taking my Grandmother some healthful snacks in a gesture of solidarity."
The Wolf said, "You know, my dear, it isn't safe for a little girl to walk through these woods alone."
Liberal Red Riding Hood said, "I find your sexist remark offensive in the extreme, but I will ignore it because of your traditional status as an outcast from society, the stress of which has caused you to develop an alternative and yet entirely valid worldview. Now, if you'll excuse me, I would prefer to be on my way."
Liberal Red Riding Hood returned to the main path, and proceeded towards her Grandmother's house.
But because his status outside society had freed him from slavish adherence to linear, Western-style thought, the Wolf knew of a quicker route to Grandma's house.
He burst into the house and ate Grandma, a course of action affirmative of his nature as a predator.
Then, unhampered by rigid, traditionalist gender role notions, he put on Grandma's nightclothes, crawled under the bedclothes, and awaited developments.
Liberal Red Riding Hood entered the cottage and said,
"Grandma, I have brought you some cruelty free snacks to salute you in your role of wise and nurturing matriarch."
The Wolf said softly "Come closer, child, so that I might see you."
Liberal Red Riding Hood said, "Goddess! Grandma, what big eyes you have!"
"You forget that I am optically challenged."
"And Grandma, what an enormous, what a fine nose you have."
"Naturally, I could have had it fixed to help my acting career, but I didn't give in to such societal pressures, my child."
"And Grandma, what very big, sharp teeth you have!"
The Wolf could not take any more of these specist slurs, and, in a reaction appropriate for his accustomed milieu, he leaped out of bed, grabbed Liberal Red Riding Hood, and opened his jaws so wide that she could see her poor Grandmother cowering in his belly.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" Liberal Red Riding Hood bravely shouted. "You must request my permission before proceeding to a new level of intimacy!"
The Wolf was so startled by this statement that he loosened his grasp on her.
At the same time, the woodchopper burst into the cottage, brandishing an ax.
"Hands off!" cried the woodchopper.
"And what do you think you're doing?" cried Liberal Red Riding Hood. "If I let you help me now, I would be expressing a lack of confidence in my own abilities, which would lead to poor self esteem and lower achievement scores on college entrance exams."
"Last chance, sister! Get your hands off that endangered species! This is an FBI sting!" screamed the woodchopper, and when Liberal Red Riding Hood nonetheless made a sudden motion, he sliced off her head.
"Thank goodness you got here in time," said the Wolf. "The brat and her grandmother lured me in here. I thought I was a goner."
"No, I think I'm the real victim, here," said the woodchopper. "I've been dealing with my anger ever since I saw her picking those protected flowers earlier. And now I'm going to have such a trauma. Do you have any aspirin?"
"Sure," said the Wolf.
"Thanks."
"I feel your pain," said the Wolf, and he patted the woodchopper on his firm, well padded back, gave a little belch, and said "Do you have any Maalox?"

Martin attacks Conservative leader on 'values'
Excerpts from CTV.ca News:
A rebuttal:
"Since I've become the prime minister, I have stared across the floor at one party -- the Bloc -- that wants to divide our remarkable country,"
He also looks at the responsible party every time he looks in the mirror.
"And at another, the Conservatives, whose leader and whose members seem chronically unhappy and for whom pessimism has become the default approach to seemingly every issue,"
When handed scandal after scandal, lie after lie and mismanagement abound..Why on earth would anyone looking at the liberals be anything but unhappy and pessimistic?
"Mr. Harper and I differ on child care and gun crimes, we differ on medicare, on tax cuts and foreign affairs. We differ on issues right across the full spectrum of policy,"
Can't Argue on this one. The major difference in all aspect between Harper and Martin is for Martin it is all about what is in it for him? While Harper actually has the interests of all Canadians in mind.
"I believe that in the real world, you cannot cut a cheque for $25 and call it a child-care strategy," Martin said.
"It's not a strategy and it's not a solution. It does little to help parents with children in child care and it does nothing to help those who have trouble finding quality, affordable care for their children."
May I ask what exactly "your" strategy does for stay at home parents, rural parents and those who choose not to use your wonderful "Institutionalized child care Mr. Martin? And since when do you know anything about anyone "living in the real world"?
I would love to see you sir live in the "real world" making a "real wage" doing "real work" for just one month... Bet you can't do it... Especially not on a budget of say... $2500 a month... Welcome to the "real world"...
"Think about it this way: What if decades ago, Tommy Douglas and my father and Lester Pearson had considered the idea of medicare and then said, 'Forget it, let's just give people $25 a week?'"
Ahhh so naive... What you fail to see Paul is that they were looking to the future.... Not at the past.... They were innovative... Maybe you should try it some time... When one continues to do the same thing over and over expecting a different result they are well... You know how the rest goes... Mr. Harper has plans, plans for today, tomorrow and the future. He like your father is innovative and looking for better ways rather than repeating the same mistake over and over.
"Whether Canada ends up as one national government, or two national governments, or several national governments or some other kind of arrangement is, quite frankly, secondary in my opinion," Martin quoted Harper as saying.
Yes this is a fundamental difference Paul, you as usual focus on the past a speach made ten years ago. Mr. Harper has moved on and looks to the future. You Paul, are of the old guard that has lost it's way in the darkness. Stephen is of a new guard that will guide us once again into the light. Returning this country back to its greatness and give it back its respect around the world we once had.
"Well, it's never been secondary in my opinion. It's never been secondary to the values or the beliefs of most Canadians. This is something that most of us feel at the very core of our being,"
Secondary... Of course it was not secondary to your party Paul. It has been your party's priority for over 12 years. Unfortunately your party has done nothing but make the separation sentiments in Quebec ever worse. Your party's plan has failed the people of Quebec and now doing the very same to the west.
I am glad you made it clear that it is the values of "most Canadians" as we know it is not the values of your party. Your party's actions speak very much of their "values". Those values are not consistent with "Canadian values". We Canadians do not value corruption, lies and especially not failure. Your party has failed the "Canadian Value" test Paul.

PROOF OF AL QAEDA SUPPORT AT THE WINGNUTERER

This photo has just been released to warn the public to be on the lookout for "Lord Bump". Lord bump as it turns out is one of Ain't Binlaidinyears top squirrels. This is proof positive that the Wingnuterer blog is affiliated with Al Qaeda. Now Our friend Zorph will try to spin this but wait...there's more. Some of you may know that Zorph had lost his "ZINGER". What I have just discovered is that this "ZINGER" is actually the WMD that good ol' GW Bush has been searching for, for the past couple of years.
Yes Zorph's evil plot is to destroy the written language! Thankfully the authorities were able to find and destroy Zorph's weapon of media destruction before it could be released on the masses. Also found was this new high tech weapon that up until now had never been seen. It has been dubbed the "Zinger Flinger Lite". This compact weapon has multiple capabilities including networking, firewire,USB and the infamous "BOOTLE OPENER" not to mention many others. Don't let its appearance sway you, it is quite deadly in the hands of a properly trained squirrel.

Rumour has it that some in the liberal ranks are already starting to organize to replace Paul Martin. This news has got to be causing poor ol' Paul to lose some sleep.
