If anyone should know what constitutes "fraud", Al Gore should. His whole life revolves around it. It truly is an "Inconvenient Truth" regarding Al's life style. He travels around the world screaming how we heathens are destroying the planet, while his very own actions do more harm to the environment in one day than the average person does in a year. He claims to do it to save the planet. The planet does not need to be saved. He is doing it to make megatonnes of money. Thanks to the many sheep out there that will believe everything he says, he is succeeding at doing just that.
“In my opinion, it is a complete and total fraud,” Mr. Gore said. “It is designed to mislead the Canadian people.”
Mr. Gore acknowledged he is not a Canadian citizen and said he has “no right to interfere in your decisions.”
However, he said, the rest of the world looks to Canada for moral leadership, and that's why this week's announcement was so “shocking.”
You are correct Al. You have no right to interfere... so take your movie and your lies and stuff them. And this guy has the balls to talk about morals? "Shocking"

Just think.... they're using this guys fraudulent propaganda to program the kids of the future in Canadian schools.
I think that something has to be done to address the climate change issue. However, I do believe that Al Gore has no right to criticize Canadian policies! See the comment I made on my blog!!!

And nobody here criticizes American policies, either, right?
Personally, I'd rather have as many "sides" represented...from all over the world...as possible. That way, we're more likely to arrive at the reality of the situation. If we cut off any one opinion, just because he's not "from here," we lose that much insight.
AB... The socialists have to start the brainwashing the earliest possible time or they will lose those little minds to the evil, rational thinking conservative mind set.
Personally I think if they show "An Inconvenient Truth" they should HAVE to show "The Global Warming Swindle" as well to balance out all the lies being spewed and then let the kids come to their own conclusions.
ifive... I took a peek at your blog and can only say one thing, wake up! Al's movie is nothing but fear mongering and exaggerations...
Chimera... "If we cut off any one opinion," That is the problem. They are cutting off opinions of anyone who disagrees with the whole human caused global warming issue. Remember, "the debate is over"... yet I don't recall there ever being any debate on the issue. My point is we need debate and we need to listen to the other side on this one as well. Al Gore is far from an expert on this matter. His opinion means nothing. I want to hear from the people who actually study climate. Which by the way are not the scientists doing all the yelling and screaming and giving us the reports coming from the IPCC. Very few of those 2500 scientists they claim to have on board study climate or are even scientists for that matter.
I agree that the debate isn't over. It has barely begun. And yes, we need to get all sides of it, including Al Gore's and yours.
Al Gore may not be an expert in your eyes, but keep in mind that if you're judging him a non-expert because he's not a scientist, then you're pretty much saying that only scientists should have opinions...and that's not right. The people who study climate are all kinds of people -- including me (and I'm no degreed scientist). I study it by being affected by it, and by tracking trends and events, comparing what is with what was, and trying to predict what might be. Climatology is not a static science. We're still defining its boundaries.
One other science that I can think of that depends mainly upon amateurs rather than professionals is astronomy. By far, the most important astronomical discoveries have been made by people who simply watched the skies because they thought it was an interesting way to pass the time. They reported what they saw to the professionals, who did the "scientific" work (however you want to define it). But it was...and remains...amateurs who do almost all of the basic finding of the phenomena. And so it is with climatology.
Chimera...
What you are studying is the weather, not climate change. There is a big difference. You are right about opinions... Gore has his, I have mine and you have yours... they are like assholes we all have one. The problems is the governments are not listening to mine nor yours. They are very willing to take Gores as the gospel in many cases. Take Britain for instance. They are paying Al as a consultant on global warming. Why? What qualifies him for such a position? Nothing... he made a documentary, is doing a lot of screaming, making a ton of money off the issue and thats about it.
"What qualifies him for such a position?"
Same thing that qualifies any of us, really -- we're in the middle of it. And someone is willing to pay him for the work that he's doing. What you're looking at is the birth of a new profession.
Climatology is too new a specific science for there to be many actual paid professionals at it. It's the new kid on the block, and still trying to find its own identity. Give it time. Sooner or later, it will become standardized, regimented, and familiar.
And I am studying climate change. I first noticed it on a conscious level in 1980, just after Mt. St, Helen's blew up about five hours south of me, and the reports of repercussions from it came in from around the world -- every country was affected. Weather is only a part of it. The difference is that weather is more local and climate is more global. But in reality, the two go together because weather systems do not operate is isolation from one another, and what happens in one place will affect what goes on someplace else. It's the come-to-understanding of the results of this interaction that we're now calling climatology.
"The difference is that weather is more local and climate is more global. But in reality, the two go together because weather systems do not operate is isolation from one another, and what happens in one place will affect what goes on someplace else."
Yes that would be weather... what Al and his ilk are talking is far from weather.... it is 50% fiction and 50% hypothesis... "Climate" are the forces that drive our weather. CO2 being one of the smallest factors there is... yet according to the some, if we don't curb it the earth and the human race is doomed...... give me a break...
