Turning the Corner

And going the wrong way down a one way street.

The federal government has joined the crusade against old-style incandescent light bulbs as part of its environment plan that vows to phase out power-hungry lighting by 2012, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and cut air pollution.

The Conservative government's environmental plan, called “Turning the Corner,” aims to stop the rise in greenhouse gases within five years, and reduce emission rates by 20 per cent of last year's rate by the year 2020. [...]

I was really hoping that PM Harper and his gang would stick to cleaning up real pollutions and leave the fear mongering of climate change to the socialists. No such luck.

Even though the CPOC government has not announced all of its plans for the protection of the environment, the socialist are yelling and screaming as usual, that it just does not go far enough! They must be psychic!

But critics say the measures barely scratch the surface of what is needed and will leave Canada lagging well behind other countries.

Representatives from organizations such as the Sierra Club and the David Suzuki Foundation came out Wednesday to criticize the plan, labelling it a very loud admission that Canada has effectively abandoned its commitments under the Kyoto Protocol.

I need a drink...

Wonder how much Danny would take for Newfoundland? Forget that, too much crazy weather... Know of any small tropical Islands for sale? There must be great fishing nearby!
