If it is not reported in the media, It is simply not happening, according to the leader of the BLOCheads.
Duceppe said the mission needs to be “rapidly and profoundly” retooled and must focus more heavily on reconstruction instead of fighting.
Anyone with a brain cell can tell you that in order to do any reconstruction there first must be a stop put to the deconstruction. Who is performing the deconstruction in Afghanistan? Thats right, those rocket launching, AK47 firing, IDE carrying, car bombing, Taliban terrorists. And how do you stop them? How about we just ignore them, eventually they might get bored of killing and walk away. O', I know, deplomacy, that always works. Maybe we could... naw, that will never work... or will it? Lets get radical for just a minute and try something. Lets send our military there, you know, the guys trained to fight back that have big guns and shit like that. They could go in and establish some area's that are relatively peaceful. They could then do some reconstrution projects. When those are done they could fight their way to another area and do the same. Eventually they just might rebuild the whole country. Okay maybe thats a stretch.... OR IS IT? Lets take a look...
KPRT has almost a hundred projects either on the go or completed right now.

I can't help but wonder how many more files like this one are lingering in the past Liberal government's closet. Not like we haven't had enough of them exposed already, but really. Do we have to audit everything they did in the 12 years they were in power? I'm really starting to think so.
The former federal Liberal government broke its own rules by doling out millions of tax dollars to a special police force in a small Mohawk community near Montreal, according to an audit obtained by CBC News.
Read it all here and please take the time to read the related articles on the right of the page while you are at it. When, may I ask is someone going to hold the Liberal Party of Canada accountable for all of this beyond just not voting for them? How on earth anyone can still support the Liberal party of Canada is beyond me. Give your heads a shake people.

I'm not shittin' ya, we really gotta stop fartin around. We really need to get to the bottom of this. If I were a form of livestock I would be seriously worried about this report out of the UN. According to a newly released report from the Food and Agriculture organization, livestock produce 18 percent of the greenhouse gases.
"Livestock are one of the most significant contributors to today's most serious environmental problems. Urgent action is required to remedy the situation," said the FAO's Henning Steinfeld, the reports senior author.
Livestock produced 35-40 percent of methane emissions and 65 percent of nitrous oxide which had almost 300 times the global warming potential of CO2(emphasis mine), the report said.
Nitrous oxide has almost 300 times the global warming potential of CO2? Why have I not heard anyone screaming about this. Damn you racing fanatics! Look what you are doing to the planet! However, the cork industry should be jumping for joy over this. They could make a killing off this one if we don't decide to slaughter the whole works first to save the planet. I can't wait to hear the solutions that come out from the study on this study. I'm sure it will just be a bunch more of the normal bull that the UN always seems to come out with.

Listening to some tunes, surfing a few blogs and suddenly I hear a clunk from within the case of my main XP machine. The music goes into phyco mode, and the computer locks up solid. WHAT THE HELL! Quicky disconnect the power, detach all the other wires, usb, monitors, speakers and such. Pull the side of the case off and what to my surprise pops out? The CPU fan and heat sink. The lovely CHEAP plastic retainer that came with the over priced Intel chip broke and the works fell onto my very expensive graphics card. Thankfully no damage occured to anything, I think. Went to my parts bins found an older but metal retainer, a little dab of Artic silver, put it all back in place and walla all is back up and running just fine. Or at least so far it is. Time will tell I guess. Thank you Intel for giving me this test and proving my reasoning why I hord old parts for computers.

Back on November 16, 2006 I made the statement: What if their computer driven forecasts are wrong? You know the old saying, garbage in, garbage out. It turns out I was correct in my statement. UN downgrades man's impact on the climate. Why you might ask?
Scientists insist that the lower estimates for sea levels and the human impact on global warming are simply a refinement due to better data on how climate works rather than a reduction in the risk posed by global warming.
Now if those same scientist would incorporate all the data including the midievil warm period in their models we may one day get even closer to the truth. The truth is all I want so that I may make a educated decision on this matter. The more garbage that is fed to me the more skeptical I will be. The people at the UN and all the fear mongers who are promoting the Kyoto acord are not educating anyone. Just give me the facts, not the facts as you would like me to believe. In this day and age of the internet and the vast information that is out there, all be it some mis-information, how do these folks think they can fool us to believe them when they continualy make up things to convince us of their cause? Wake up folks, this is the 21st century and we the little people will get the facts wether you like it or not.

For the uniformed:
"Status of Women Canada is the federal government agency which promotes gender equality, and the full participation of women in the economic, social, cultural and politital life of the country."
This is 2006 right? I work for a company that is staffed by roughly 63 people. Of those approximately 35% are men. Of the top four positions in the company, 50% are women. Other management positions are 75% held by women. The CADD dept is 100% women. Sales department is 75% women. Admin is 100% women. Warehousing is 100% men. Installations and service is 95% men. Where is the un-equality? What happened to the notion of hiring the best person for the job? What is stopping women from accomplishing any of what SOW, ooops, SWC promotes? Not a damn thing if you ask me. Go forth and do your best. You are what you make of yourself. It is your choice. If you fall prey to those who tell you otherwise, you need help, but not from people like this. Ed Stelmach is the new Premiere of Alberta for better or worse. Certainly was not my first choice nor was he my last. He ran straight up the middle the entire race and won. Don't get me wrong, Ed is a fine man, this I have no doubt about. He is down to earth, hard working and a typical Albertan if there is one. The question I have is, and its a dosey... Is ED Stelmach a strong leader? I sure did not get that impression when I listened to his acceptance speech in the early morning hours here in Edmonton. He sounded very timid and somewhat shy. Not quite the qualities we need in a leader that must face off with the big boys in Ottawa. Perhaps he was being humble and was probably in a state of shock that he actually won this thing. Perhaps staying up most of the night fixing the furnace in his house the night before had some effect on him as well. One thing I am very sure of, Eddy is no Ralph! Perhaps that is a good thing as well. We needed a change, and we sure got a big one. Congratulations Premiere Stelmach, I hope and pray you are up to the task you have taken upon yourself and we the people of Alberta have given to you. The eyes of the country are now focused squarely on you. Make that the eyes of the world, as this province is a treasure chest that all would love to have a part of. You must defend and protect that treasure. The people, the land, the environment and all its resources, they are yours to watch over.

Let the Harper and conservative bashing begin!
So much hate in one small hall. The king of hate would have to be...Drum roll please......
Ken Dryden .... "So obsessed with not being liberals" "I don't even know if the conservatives like this country" What the hell was that? His speech was absolutely astonishing. Vile, hateful, contemptuous and so un-Canadian. Give your head a shake man. He has taken a page right out of the last liberal campaign book. If you have nothing to offer, bash the hell out of the opposition using fear and lies and hope for the best. Strange though that his opposition is not Harper or the conservatives for that matter. It is the other Liberals running for the leadership. Simply pathetic. Here is a tip for you Ken. It did not work in the last election and it will not work here. You are done. I expected more from this man.
Iggy sounded and looked like he took a weee too much ritalin before he went on stage. His slow meandering speech was, un-inspiring. I thought I had invertently changed channels and was suddenly watching Star Trek. One of the episodes where they went into a time warp, back to earth in the 21 century. Spock, standing in a hall giving a speech. Does Iggy not remind you a bit of Spock? Intelligent, no feeling, however he does lack logic and the ears to some extent. It was very strange to watch to say the least. Iggy had a dream. His dream was for the liberal party to actually have a sitting member of parliament from Al...ber.....ta. For Albertan's, Iggy's dream is a nightmare! Albertan's are not "RED necks" Iggy... That is an ol' wives tale... we are in fact... "Blue Necks". It comes from the blue collar society we have here. Something you Iggy, would know nothing of. We are hard working, we value our dollars that we work so hard to earn. We certainly don't like to see them wasted never mind stolen from us as the liberals did. This same society, that knows that criminals(read "liberal party"), do not belong anywhere near the public purse never mind running the government. Yes we are a different breed out here. You could say we are a "Nation within a Nation" as we are so different than most of Canada politically speaking, but I know you, nor any other politician would ever say that.
Dion ... ummmmmmm ... What did he say?
Bobby Rae ... I will admit, his speech, mic in hand, no notes, walking the stage was impressive visually. Content on the other hand was lacking. My guess is still that Rae is the next leader of the liberal party. History dictates as much. He is connected, just as were past leaders: Chretien, Martin, Trudeau and even Mulroney. Can we say Power Corp? Fitting name don't ya think?
The rest.... Lets just say that my eyes were tired and my music was too loud.

Today news....
Bob Rae had his liberal leadership race tarnished when ex Canadian finance minister,Ralph Goodale descided to back Rae.
Canada's Auditor General, Sheila Fraser(gotta love her) released another scathing report today. Loaded with plenty of liberal leftoverruns and abuses. Take your pic from many (PDF documents) including:
Chapter 3 — Large Information Technology Projects. Projects over budget and over due!
Chapter 5 — Relocating Members of the Canadian Forces, RCMP, and Federal Public Service. This little number has been in the news before. When the contract was first handed out it was done unfairly so they tried again. Again it went to the same folks and again, so it seems.... unfairly! Not to mention they are making a damn good return on their investments. At the tax payers expence of course.
Chapter 11 — Protection of Public Assets—Office of the Correctional Invesitgator. Ex CFL football star takes tax payers for a Roughride(r).
The Gun registry is back in the news. The Liberals and Bloc Quebecois have joined forces to urge the Conservative government to get tougher on gun control. Their proposals include cancelling plans to scrap the long-gun registry, prohibiting use of semi-automatic weapons, and ending the amnesty for gun owners who don't renew licences or register weapons.
How many law abiding citizens of this country have to pay the price for the criminals? The gun registry will never stop anyone from using a gun to do harm or commit a crime. It will never stop anyone who wants a gun from getting one in the black market. It will never save a single life. The only thing it does do is take money from the law abiding citizen and put in the governments hands. Hell the fee's don't even come close to covering the outragous cost of the thing. Please note... Although I love to go hunting a fishing, the only thing I shoot with is a camera. I do not own any guns. Some say my mouth is a loaded weapon though.
Last but not least;
A study suggests your mother and teachers were all wrong! Don't sit up straight! The safest posture, which put least strain on spinal discs and surrounding muscles and tendons, was the substantially more relaxed 135 degree backward sprawl, the researchers found.
"This may be all that is needed to prevent back pain, rather than trying to cure pain that has occurred over the long term due to bad posture," said Waseem Bashir, a doctor on the study from the University of Alberta, Canada.

Prime Minister Harper today Announced: "Our position is clear. Do the Québécois form a nation within Canada? The answer is yes. Do the Québécois form an independent nation? The answer is no and the answer will always be no,"
Is this yet another can of worms that has been opened over Quebec? I doubt it if for no other reason than the way he chose his words so very carefully. Lets take a look at some definitions regarding nation.
nation
noun
1. The people living in, belonging to, and together forming, a single state.
Thesaurus: country, state, commonwealth, republic, kingdom, principality, dominion, realm, domain, community, society, race, populace, people, body politic.
2. A race of people of common descent, history, language or culture, etc, but not necessarily bound by defined territorial limits of a state.
3. A Native American tribe or federation of tribes.
Derivative: nationhood
noun
Etymology: 13c: French, from Latin natio tribe.
First Nation
n. Canadian.
An organized aboriginal group or community, especially any of the bands officially recognized by the Canadian government.
From wikipedia:
In 2003, there were 633 Native American tribal entities (First Nations, or formally, Indian Bands) recognized by Canada under the Constitution Act, treaties, statutes and court decisions as "self-governing aboriginal nations within Canada." They have formal government-to-government relations with the Crown, enjoy limited internal self-government and administer their territories, the Indian Reserves.
I find this part in particular quite intriguging. Etymology: 13c: French, from Latin natio tribe. Tribe eh? The things you learn while blogging. I'd say that PMSH did his homework on this one. We might as well just add Quebec to the list along with the 633 other nations within Canada. Duceppe can continue to have "formal government-to-government relations with the Crown, enjoy limited internal self-government and administer their territories", Quebec.
Got to love it when a plan comes together. Especially when it is done so quickly and out of the blue. Yes that would be Tory Blue.

I received this one in my email today and just had to pass it on
The following is an actual question given on the University of Washington chemistry mid-term.
The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well:
Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.
One student, however, wrote the following:
First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume the at once a soul gets to Hell it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.
With birth and death rates being as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.
Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.
This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of Souls in Hell,
then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.
So which is it?
If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you," and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over,
it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God!"
THE STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A"
This guy is a genius, the next Einstein or maybe Epstein.

The Liberal Prime Minister of Canada rushed back to Canada today. He stood on the Corner of Whyte avenue and 105 street in Edmonton to announce that his government will, in light of recent events, be setting up a knife registry. Canadians will be given 6 months or possibly 16 years to register all knives with the exception of those used for: religious purposes, eating, cooking and work, as well as those that have blades less than 8 inches or so. "This program will only cost the tax payers a mere 2 billion or so dollars but will be well worth it" he added.
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEECH!
Ok, them was the old days. Reality has set in and we now have a conservative government that says it is going to get tough on crime. Only problem is, they have a minority government and the opposition is making it hard to do so. Why would they do that? Some will say that crime rates are dropping in this country. I don't think the people of Edmonton would believe such statements at the moment no matter how many stats you throw in our faces. Edmonton has surpassed Winnipeg as the murder capital of Canada. The weapon of choice as of late is the knife. Are those of the pacifist thinking going to suggest, as I sarcastically suggested above, we register our knives now to put an end to this? It did not work for guns and it sure won't work for knives. The only solution is a deterrent. Our current system is not providing any at all. We are letting these vile offenders off with a slap on the wrist at every turn. I and many others have had enough and want our streets back. We want to feel somewhat safe walking our streets. Yes putting these thugs behind bars for a long time will in fact go along way in doing that. I have no sympathy for anyone who chooses to do harm to another, bodily or other wise. We need strong sentences, our current system is not working. The young offenders today, know how the system works and know damn well they will get off with little or no punishment for even the most heinous of crimes, never mind the petty. Criminals of all ages laugh at the laws we have created to protect them, not us. What happened to the rights of the rest of us, you know, us law abiding citizens? The ones who actually contribute in a good way to society. The ones who pay taxes that pay the salaries of politicians and judges.

Two of ABF's favorite people. They appear in his nightmares on a regular basis. Nacy Pelosi and Maurice Strong.

I should have known there was a connection here, but I honestly had no idea.
Queen of the Democrats Nancy Pelosi will deliver the sovereignty of her own country over to the United Nations. In fact, she’s been working on it since 1992.
and following the money so to speak.... hereThe global warming movement began at the 1992 U.N. Earth Summit where its director, Maurice Strong, started with the statement "We must therefore transform our attitudes and values, and adopt a renewed respect for the superior laws of divine nature." Strong subsequently passed several worldwide laws in 1997 known as the Kyoto Accord. In 1994, the U.N. commissioned Strong to write the Earth Covenant that was introduced in 2000 as the Earth Charter. The new edict was written on papyrus paper, placed in a replica of the Ark of the Covenant, ceremoniously ushered into the U.N. and called "the new 10 commandments," a "Global Ethic" that will transcend all religions and countries.
Strangely enough, there is moreA Canadian version of Mr. Soros, the energy tycoon Maurice Strong, who currently operates in China after getting his name dragged into the oil-for-food scandal, also remained influential.
Ever wonder what it is that Maurice is doing now? Wonder no more. He is handing out enviromental travel awards. The first Awards will be given on the first World Responsible Tourism Day 2007 following a nominations process organized by eTurbo News and participating industry partners. The judging panel organized by Mondial Global Energy (MGe) will be chaired by Maurice Strong, who was Chair of the Rio Earth Summit and will include José Maria Figueres, former President of Costa Rica; Dawid de Villiers the last UNWTO Deputy Secretary General; Jonathan Tourtellot, Director of Sustainable Destinations, National Geographic Society; and Fiona Jeffrey, Managing Director, World Travel Market.
I'm sure ABF will be running out and purchasing a new book that is out... "Best of Intentions: Kofi Annan and the U.N. in the Era of American World Power". Had Mr. Traub made serious use of this remarkable access, he might have written a real page-turner on the U.N. in crisis. Instead, he has produced "Best of Intentions: Kofi Annan and the U.N. in the Era of American World Power" (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 442 pages, $26), a paean to Mr. Annan, packed with scenes that mingle hagiography with the lingo of an infatuated schoolgirl. In this tale, Kofi Annan figures as a sort of Hamlet of Turtle Bay, a "benevolent renaissance prince," a "gentle soul," and, above all, a victim not of his own failures, cover-ups, and hypocrisies, but of circumstance and conservative critics. Voilà : Mr. Traub has crafted for Mr. Annan, just in time for his retirement next month, the New Legacy.

Ever wonder why Canada sends China foreign aid? Ask a liberal and you will find Strong reasons. Okay, make that very Strong reasons for all things "liberal". Didn't PM Harper, recently apologize to Chinese Canadians and forked over a ton of cash to them for Canadians mis-deeds of close to a century ago? What was the reason? We mis-treated them by placing a head tax on Chinese immigrants. Not anything in comparison to the abuses in their home land. China does not want to talk about human rights. Too frickin bad! There human rights record is no secret. Canada has contributed over a billion dollars to China over the years and I think that is more than enough reason for our PM to talk about whatever he so chooses when it comes to China. If it is human rights, so be it. Canadians have paid the price of admittance to this show and most have not liked what they have seen. China must clean up its act and I most certainly am not talking about climate change. Again Harper takes the high road and is being slammed by the media and China friendly business's for doing so. Aint like the other. One of these things just isn't the same. Can you guess which one?
A) Canada's Clean Air Act
B) UK Climate Change Bill
C) Kyoto Protocol
They all mention the dreaded date "2050" that our conservative government took so much heat over. Personally I like baby steps, gives you a chance to learn and evaluate things on your way. Make changes as needed to accomplish the goal. Rushing in head strong and blind usually only gets you a head ache when you hit the wall. Was it not just a few short years ago that all these reputable scientists were screaming about how we were heading for another ice age? The band wagon switched to global warming. Now they call it climate change. Guess this latest name is much safer as if it gets warmer they are right. If it cools off, they are right. What if it just keeps going up and down, fluctuating as it has for as long as man has recorded temperatureand tree rings show? What if their computer driven forecasts are wrong? You know the old saying, garbage in, garbage out. I'm no scientist, but I do know that pollution is a big problem. Climate change on the other hand is at this moment, as far as I am concerned, is still a hypothesis. One that has several holes in it that I as a lay man can see. When I see graphs such as the "hockey stick", which deliberately leave out valuable info, monetary solutions that do nothing to resolve the real problem and lastly, the main stream media spouting about it as gospil on a constant basis, I for one take a step or two back, and wonder why? Something stinks as is often the case when the UN is involved. There is only one thing that I can think of that will drive humans in such a frenzy as this topic seems to have done. MONEY! I am willing to bet that somewhere, some folks in the high up can't wait to see their "retirement funds" in that Swiss bank account set up for them labeled "Kyoto Slush Fund". Now that France has come out bashing Canada, I have even more reservations on this matter. France, in general, is not one to bash anyone on any topic except maybe healthcare, but thats another topic all together. Rona has come out and stated the truth on where Canada is on climate change and some folks don't like it. The truth hurts sometimes. Personally I prefer the truth over lies. I'm afraid that we the poor public have been fed a bunch of lies to the point that we are starting to believe them. Not just on this topic. Does not say much for the human race as a whole. I will as usual, take everything I hear with a .... can someone pass me the salt please? Thanks.....

Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
New Version:
O Canada!
Our homes on native lands!
Tru deau pian love, while under liberal command.
With bleeding hearts, we saw taxes rise,
provinces longing to be free!
The farce was wide,
So amazing, what the Media wants us to believe
Liberals took our guns, set the criminals free!
O Canada, we can't stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, what the hell has happened to thee?
Thank you...thank you very much... Is that a donut I see over there? Be right back....

UPDATE/ retraction of my last post, "More climatic jokes": LOOKS LIKE THE FINE FOLKS AT THE BBC SCREWED THIS ONE UP BIG TIME. After I was notified by The Conservative UAW Guy in the comments section that the number was changed in the article, I checked around a bit and found that the premium paid was in fact $930,000 not the $930 million that was originally reported in the BBC article. Wonder why the BBC did not "note" that they had goofed and the number was corrected. They just simply changed the number. No oops, we are sorry. Nada! Unlike them I admit when I have made a mistake. This is the proof of that.
Ok, Move along folks nothin here. Damn!

UPDATE: The BBC has changed this article to read $930,000.00 for the premium paid. As a result I did some more checking and found the lessor amount to be correct. Thanks BBC for ruining my day and this post! Bastards!
Don't bother reading this as they have changed the article and make no mention of their screw up in the proccess! MSM at it best as usual.
From the BBCThe insurers agreed that below a certain minimum of rainfall, they would pay $7m within a matter of days, to be spent on food aid or payments to farmers. The premium paid was $930m.
As it happened, rainfall stayed above the threshold, and Axa Re kept its money. But WFP's Peter Smerdon believes the project shows how poor communities can gain relief quickly.
How does this "prove" anything other than Axa Re made a whole hell of alot of money for making a promiss. $930 million premium to fork out $7 million within a matter of days? Hell, give me that money and I'll give them $900 million in A DAY! Simply amazing......

One day Mother Nature was playing up in the cornyard when–whack! something hit her upon the head. “Goodness gracious me!” said Mother Nature; "this funny shaped stick fell from the sky and must be a sign! I am getting a little warm, the tempature must be rising; I must go and tell the UN.” Along the way Mother Nature meets up with many of natures creatures who she tells her story to and they follow along blindly to the UN.
So they went along, till they met Foxy-docsy, and Foxy-docsy said to Mother Nature, and the others “Where are you going" “We’re going to tell the UN the tempature is rising.” “Oh! but this is not the way to the UN" says Foxy-docsy; “I know the proper way; shall I show it to you?” “Why certainly, Foxy-docsy,” said Mother Nature, and they went off to tell the UN the tempature is rising. So they went along, till they came to a narrow and dark hole. Now this was the door to Foxy-docsy’s office. But Foxy-docsy said to Mother Nature and the others, “This is a short cut to the UN palace, you’ll soon get there if you follow me. I will go first and you come after, "Why of course, certainly, without doubt, why not?” they all said in a chorus together.
So Foxy-docsy went into his office, and he didn’t go very far and turned around to wait for Mother Nature, and the others. So at last Foxy-docsy had them all right where he wanted them. He gave each of them a quick check up and found that, all the other animals were all indeed sheep in other animals clothing, and suffered from leftosis. Mother Nature on the other hand had only just begun menopause which explains why she thought the tempature was rising. The funny shaped stick was just some crazy Canuks playing hockey in the cornyard, and things got a little out of hand. Foxy-docsy could not do much for the others but was able to treat Mother Nature with Hormone therapy. Some low-dose antidepressants, gabapentin, bisphosphonates, SERMs and major amounts of Clonidine to stop those nasty hot flashes!
The End!
Morale of the story...
Mother nature has reached that age, and we must do what we can to help her out. Spread the word! Hormone therapy is what the world needs now before its too late!

It turns out that Klien stole the line from none other than Belinda's current male friend, Tie Domi! Explanation is here for your reading enjoyment.
From Canada.com
"Liberal MP Belinda Stronach says a sexually charged comment by Alberta Premier Ralph Klein about her past relationship with Peter MacKay is exactly the kind of remark that puts women off entering politics."
It obviously did not put her off from letting Tie enter though. Funny how these things turn about.

How one votes seems to me, is based primarily on their social ideology.
The left as they are known:
In general the left, think that everyone, with enough prodding, guidance and funding from the government, are fundamentally good. By being a Nanny state and holding everyone’s hands as they go through life, giving them adequate and equal treatment and or government funded programs, everyone is an equal. Or as equal as they can get without everyone tossing their wages in a pot and dividing it up amonst everyone equally.
Those who choose to support the Green Party are more concerned about the environment than any other issue. I would suspect that they would be more inclined to also support such groups as Green Peace, World Wildlife Foundation, and the likes there of. They are extremists compared to the so-called, average member of society. They go above and beyond, to protect our environment.
Those who choose to support the NDP are very collective minded. They tend to be more in favor of unions and a large government that will take care of all people’s needs rather than relying on the individual to provide for them selves.
Up until more recently in our countries history, the Liberal party was close to centre. I attribute that to their overall success as being the party that has run this country for more years than any other. They supported business, they took care of the poor. They did just enough for each part of society to be a middle of the road party without getting too extreme on any particular issue. They represented most Canadian’s beliefs. They have more recently moved further to the left as years went by. They began introducing more and more social programs to help those, as they saw it, in need. Supplied funding of special interest groups more and more with taxpayer dollars. In short, trying to be everything and to appease everyone to the parties demise.
The right as they are known:
Geared to those individuals that are more independent in thinking. Conservatives believe in very little government interference aka: small government. The less money government takes from their pockets the better, as conservatives think they can invest it to help the country prosper better than any government could. Basically “leave me alone, I will make it or break it on my own” mentality.
The Conservatives, like the Liberals of old were also close to centre at one time. Like the Liberals they too have spent a good chunk of time running this country. The biggest difference between the two was the way each looked at business and how evasive the government should be with social programs. The Conservatives were much more favorable to business and much less likely to support social programs to the extent of the Liberals. They have, in recent years moved further right away from centre, again to their own peril. Although they may be in power now with a minority government, they would have done better had they not moved further to the right.
As I see it, the majority of Canadians vote for the party during any particular election that comes closest to the centre approach. This would explain why we have seen the two major parties go back and forth in power in this country. As one moves to far away to either side, the majority of Canadians will switch their voting to the other party that remains closest to the centre. It is a simple balancing act that the citizens of our great county perform to keep things in check.
Mainstream Canadian’s are, for all intensive purposes, centered in their thinking. Any party that wanders too far to one side or the other will see the results at election time. The closer they can keep to being centrist the better for them. We are not a country of extremists for the most part. Yes there are those who are extreme on both sides of the political spectrum, but overall they do not represent the majority of Canadian’s. The majority of Canadian’s simply want a strong federal government to represent us abroad. We want a government who sees to the needs of the needy, not everyone. We want a government that takes crime seriously. We want a government that will make sure that our health is looked after including healthcare and via the environment. We want a government that does not over tax us to pay for the wastes that always seem to go on in government. We want a government that can deliver a strong economy. We want a government that is fair across the board to all its citizens. Finally, we want a government that stays out of our day to day lives and lets us go on doing what we need to do to make ourselves and our families happy, healthy, wealthy and wise.
If someone should ever manage to form a political party in Canada that managed to stay centrist, uncorrupted and not influenced by special interest groups, I am sure they could and would become the ruling party of this country forever.
I am such a dreamer and a centrist, who currently supports the Conservatives, as I feel they are closer to centre than any other party is.... for the moment.

I was there, were you?
Today Edmonton held it's first Red Friday Rally. It was cold with a bitter wind. I first drove by around 11:30 am and there was already quite a few people there probably around 100. (Picture #1). At about 5 minutes before noon, when I arrived for the show there were a few hundred. (Picture #2). As the clock at the tower of city hall struck 12:00, there were people coming in to Sir Winston Churchill Square from all directions. As the proceedings started, I would guess there was somewhere around 600 to 700 people. (Picture #3). Not as many as I would have liked to have seen though. A group of students from Grades 3 and 5 at Edmonton Garrison’s Guthrie School Started things off by singing O'Canada. (Picture#4). Shawn Hlookoff Brought tears to many eyes when he took the stage and performed "Soldier". (Picture#5). The absolutely most memorable moment was when Master Cpl. Paul Franklin addressed the crowd. (Picture#6). Franklin Lost both his legs when the vehicle he was in was blown up by a suicide bomber.
"You wear red to help us help you, And I just want to say 'thank you very much. Years ago we didn't have this support. But now when you go on missions you don't even have to think about how Canadians support us. We know, It's a given. After my attack and during my recovery I found it difficult to put on this uniform, but we know as we head out those gates that no matter what, Canadians across this land support what we do. Days like these make me proud to be a soldier"
One comment made amongst the crowd that I can't help but write about. A mother walked by me with three children. One was complaining about being cold(I think). She simply said, "Your father didn't complain when he was in Afghanistan, you should not be complaining here." Silence followed that statement.
One thing that did surprize me as I walked about taking my photo's. There was not one single 'anti war' or 'bring the troops home' sign or protester anywhere to be seen.
Thank you Edmonton for Supporting Our Troops!
For some strange reason, blogger would not allow me to place all the pictures into this post. I did a small work around. Please "click on the images to see a larger version. Sorry for the inconvienence.

In a country of over 30 million, hundreds show up at so called 'support our troop rallies' in various cities throughout the country. Not surprisingly... (sarc on)Your friend and mine(sarc off), Jack Layton is at one them for yet another Photo Op. The numbers that are showing up for these rallies are not surprisingly, equivalent to the numbers that actually vote for Jacks team. They want our troops to be involved in more 'reconstruction' rather than fighting. Well so would I! Unfortunately the other side would rather shoot at them and stop them from doing just that. So here is my proposal for Jack. Put on your blue helmet, head over to Afghanistan, stand in front of the other side, hold up your enormous ego/shield to protect our people so they can get on with reconstruction. Unless you are willing to do just that, put yourself in their shoes so to speak... STFU! You have no clue of what you speak. Peace comes with a price. Without peace there can be no help. Ask the people of Holland who hold us Canadians in such high regard for what our troops accomplished there in 1945. Or have you and your ilk simply and conveniently forgotten history? This is but one example I can provide but there many many others. If you truly want to 'Support Our Troops' then make damn sure they get "everything" they need to do their job to bring peace to Afghanistan. Not just the "they can make do items" as per 'lefty' usual. Write our troops a letter of support, telling them how much we value what they are doing over there. Send a parcel with a few Tim Hortons Gift Certificates! Bring them home when the job is done with fanfare! That is the support they need and deserve.

What is the "One Tongue Challenge" you may ask. Well you have come to the right place to find the answer. I am challenging all political bloggers out there to find at least one blog that preaches its supported parties mantra in every way, shape and form. It must not sway in any way at all from what the party is preaching in any of its posts. 100% pure..."I have no brain and can't think for myself on any matter, what my party says is the gospel" support.
If you come across such a blog, send an email to onetonguechallenge@yahoo.com with the URL of the blog for our judges to check out. If we find it does in fact meet all the criterion, we will send an official "One Tongue Challenge Award" to the blogs owner and add them to the official "Sheep" blog roll.
Common sense would suggest that:
A)If you are of the same political thinking, then you would naturally more than not agree with what that particular party is doing/saying.
B) You would promote that thinking on your blog should you have one.
C) Most politically involved people are sheep. The only difference would be the color of the wool. Whether they allow politicians to grab their hind legs and place them in their rubber boots is another story. Baaaaaaaaah
D) Very few people are that naive.

PM Harper calls two byelections for Nov. 27 2006 and the liberals have a problem with it as it is in the middle of their leadership race. Well to F@#$ing bad. It is not about the liberals! It is about having the people of those two ridings having representation in the house, just as the rest of the country has. The conservatives have little chance of winning either one of these seats if past voting habits have anything to say for it. So why is this a problem for the liberals? Simply have a decent candidate run in the byelection and you should have it wrapped up in London North-Centre and the Bloc representive will take Repentigny. Are the libs that scared of running against Dianne Haskett in London? Again the libs think everything in the universe should revolve around them and their time line. Canada takes a back seat to the Liberal party business as usual for them.

Take note all you lowly dictators. While you waste your time taking control of a mere country, and hope to possibly dominate the world, G.W has one upped you all. He has taken over the solar system! Yup he has put clame on it and I guess that makes it all his. The following are from Reuters
Bush's top goals, as stated in the document, are to "strengthen the nation's space leadership and ensure that space capabilities are available in time to further US national security, homeland security, and foreign policy objectives" and to "enable unhindered US operation in and through space to defend our interest there,"
Theresa Hitchens, director of the non-partisan Centre for Defence Information, was quoted as saying that the Bush policy "kicks the door a little more open to a space-war fighting strategy" and has a "very unilateral tone to it."
According to the report, the Bush policy accepts current international agreements but states: "The United States will oppose the development of new legal regimes or other restrictions that seek to prohibit or limit US access to or use of space."

PMSH came out swinging today and has liberals and dippers up in arms over his statement. Just finished watching Mike Duffy... without Mike...hope he is doin well and will be returning soon.... anyways.... both the liberal rep and the dipper rep.....(don't remember their names cause I don't care)... came out with virtually the same responce.... it was very "un Priminsterial" for him to make such a statement. Well, yes I guess stating the facts such as they are by a Priminister of Canada is something most of us find foriegn. Hey, welcome to new times. Honesty and out there in your face. Gotta love it. PMSH did not say "all" he said "virtually all" yup "virtually all". There is a big difference. Being from Alberta...(good excuse) I know very little about Bob Rae and the other front runner Mike Ignatieff. So off I went searching our best friend Mr. Google. I found some interesting reading on both of these gentleman but was quite surprised to read that Mr. Rae's father is jewish, although Bob was raised catholic, he is married to a jewish woman and has raised his children jewish. So no surprise on his pro Israel stance. I also discovered that Bobby and Mikey go back a long ways and were in fact childhood friends compliments of their fathers relationships in politics. I also discovered that Bobby like Mikey, spent quite some time away from Canada getting edumacated.... maybe I should have tried that too? Back to topic... Mikey jumps back and forth barely having time to make a firm decision on the matter throughout the years.... Bob has made his stance very clear even back in his early years. The rest seem to be well... anti Israel oh wait...anti Palistine...oh wait...anti... ummmm.ya...they are all wishy washy... I will say that John Lennon would be very proud of them all. Give peace a chance..... but wait...there is seldom peace in that region as most of the time, someone is trying to inialate Isreal. Hope that fence they are sitting on isn't a sharp picket fence. Sometimes ya just gotta choose a side. Oilers or Flames? It don't matter cause they are both Alberta teams or Leafs or Sens?... again it doesn't matter as they are both Ontario teams! NOT! OKay beat me up for usin hockey as an anology for international afairs.Whatever! Lets bring it closer to home. Your nieghbour keeps throwin his junk in your yard. You have talked to him til your face is blue. You call the police to deal with him. The police lecture him, maybe give him a warning. The next day you go out and there again is your mieghbours junk in your yard. You again talk to him. Same thing again the next day. Back come the police. They give him a fine. The next day his garbage is there yet again. Another fine. Next day same thing. Another fine? or do you take matters in your own hands to put an end to it once and for all? Personally, I'd get a friggin dump truck... fill it with as much garbage I could muster up and dump it on his front lawn. There just comes a time when you must take a stand and deffend yourself. Diplomacy is great when you can come to an agreement between the parties and stick to it. But when one party says one thing and continually does another. Its time to quit talking and use a little muscle so to speak. Here in Canada we are telling our kids in school about bullying and how bad it is. We are hammering the bullies with suspensions, fines and the like. Yet when it comes to International issues we have continually chose to sit on the fence and let it happen over and over again. Has it solved anything? Has anything really changed? Maybe for short periods but it certainly has never brought about any long term solution. We need to get tough on the international "bullies" just the same as we are doing here at home.

GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAR WAR
Does North Korea actually have "the bomb" or is Kim Jong-Il the only "fat boy" and is taking lessons from his wife and "faking it"? At this point it is anyones guess. A very large cash of regular explosives set off underground would give the same readings as the real thing. What is his motive? Are they planning on breaking the long held ceasefire and try to take over South Korea and then.....(pinky to corner of mouth) the world? Good luck with that Kim. Even with the 3rd largest army in the world and a nuke. I guarantee this time around it won't end with a ceasefire. Is this just yet another example of power going to a leaders head and swelling it up so big that he has lost all common sense? This guy truely needs a labotomy. I suggest that some large and powerful country (won't mention any names here) should fire off an ICBM over to Kim without a warhead attached, with a big note on it saying..."This DUD is for you.... You won't be so lucky next time.... Love GW". I think Kim needs to go back into the movie vault...way back to 1983 and watch a little classic called War Games. Take a lesson from "Joshua". Thermonuclear war is a game very much like X's and O's, there simply is never a winner. Well, unless you are playing against a totally brain dead opponent, which just maybe the problem here for Kim. I did some homework. For anyone who might want to know the numbers or at least the best estimates I could find scouring the net. I have them all here.
We have many reasons to be thankful for this day. Most of those things are possible due to the millions of Canadians who chose to join our armed forces of which approximately 109,591 gave their lives in the past 107 years in various "conflicts" around the globe. These gallant soles Left our land to do what they thought was best for the world not knowing if they would return alive. They gave up everything so you my friends could be free to do what you do this and everyday of your lives in a free country. We are one of the very few countries in the world that have not seen some kind of major "conflict" on our soil. We should all be very thankful for that.
Today I would like to thank all those who have given their lives in service of this great country we know as Canada. Today I would like to thank all of those who are currently serving in our military. Today I would like to thank all of those who have ever served in our military. I am forever thankful for everything you have stood for and against.
The following is a list of all the "conflicts" that Canadian soldiers have served and died in that I could find and somewhat confirm. If I have missed any, I would be more than happy to amend this post if anyone can give me the information and I can confirm it in some way. I found many differing numbers for some of the "conflicts" so I went with the most commonly repeated numbers I found in my searches.
The following are all numbers from one site which as I explained before seem to match many others I came across in my searches. I did not use their UN numbers as I found they did not correspond with the "official" numbers given on the UN site.
Military history of Canada
Boer War 1899 - 1902
224 Canadian deaths
An average of approx. 75 deaths per year or .20 per day.
WWI 1914 - 1919
66,655 Canadian deaths
An average of approx. 16,663 deaths per year or 46 per day
WWII 1939 - 1945
42,042 Canadian deaths
An average of approx. 7007 deaths per year or 19 per day
Korean War 1951 - 1953
516 Canadian deaths
An average of approx. 172 deaths per year or .47 per day
Canadian Military deaths in Afghanistan

The 114 deaths in UN peacekeeping missions is the second highest total. India is number one with 119 deaths. Both countries seem to have a disproportionate number of deaths in UN missions compared to other countries involved in UN missions.
This just goes to prove that wearing a blue helmet and calling it "peacekeeping" does not protect you from the enemy. I would imagine though, that if the enemy had to wear a uniform to identify themselves to our troops, things would be much different. It is after all very hard to fight a war (oooops) "MISSION" when you could very possibly be standing beside the enemy without even knowing it. I don't suppose they would give up that information freely if they were asked either.
Happy Thanks For Giving Day everyone!

After spending a few minutes over at BPOC and then ranting in his comments, I came up with a thought. Not sure it was a good thought, but a thought none the less. So here it goes.... a bunch of what if's for your enjoyment......or not.....
What would the happen if someone started up WET "White Entertainment Television" ala BET, the "Black Entertainment Television"? Would it be totally acceptable or would it be attacked and considered racist?
What would happen if someone started up an annual "Straight" Pride Day complete with parades? Would Mayors and other politicians be expected to endorse and participate in it if they are not straight?
What would happen if a girl wanted to go to an all boys school or vice versa? Would the courts rule that it must be allowed in light of past decisions? Boy Scouts, Sports ect... Speaking of which...why did the "Boy Scouts" have to change their name to "Scouts" and allow girls yet "Girl Guides" is still "Girl Guides" and boys are not allowed to join? Double standard?
What would happen if 30 girls tried out for the boys team and due to this all the boys who tried out were cut as they were not as good as the girls... would it still be the "boys" team? Or vice versa for that matter?
What would happen if someone started up "FADD" Fathers Against Drunk Driving would the folks at"MADD" Mothers Against Drunk Driving be upset? Maybe they would just join forces and become "PADD" Parents Against Drunk Driving which to me makes more sense. I know as a parent myself and being a Father, I care about this issue just as much as any Mother. Maybe that is wrong too? Maybe "PADD" should stand for People Against Drunk Driving as I know many people who are not parents that are just as concerned as parents are.
What would happen if everyone was "truly" equal? No poor, no rich, no strong, no weak, ect ect ect..... would we not all then be just mediocre? If so, who would invent new technologies and the like....who would start businesses for these mediocre people to work at? Who would make the tough decisions? Who would run the governments? Would we all then have to be the same color? What color? Would we have to be hermaphrodite so there is no differences between the sexs? Would everyone have the same color hair and eyes? Would we all be clones and look exactly the same?
And now for the biggy........
What would happen if there were no conservatives? Would everything eventually be "free" and paid for by the government? What would the tax rate be to support that and if everything is "free".....why work and pay taxes?

I was listening to Charles Adler as I do most weekdays and was amazed at this clip that he replayed yet again today on his show.
The incident took place in San Fransico on July 26 of 2006 and the the clip was taken two days later. The original story can be read here and even more details here. I have done a bit of searching to find the articles that Mr. Delages refers to in the video of the press and others questioning the chase without success. Mr.Delagnes asks some very tough questions and makes some very over whelming points in his address. It does sound awfully familiar doesn't it? Mayorthorpe ring a bell? This exact same type of thing is happening on a continual basis right here in Canada. When will we start putting these people who so blatantly snub the laws of our land where they belong, behind bars! This is the type of incident that will happen as long as we are soft on criminals. This is exactly why we need to impliment the 3 strikes law as well as other changes the CPC is proposing. Let these repeat criminals give us a damn good reason and I mean A DAMN GOOD REASON why they should ever be allowed to walk the streets again. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice shame on us! Fool us thrice.... there is something terribly wrong with the system!

That was fun! Who am I trying to kid? Just spent the last two days cleaning out a worm from my xp machine. (note to self... don't let daughter come over to use computer when I'm not home) Then discovered after cleaning out the cobwebs and moth balls in my ol' blog that quite a few of the links were outdated. They are all now current and working as they should. My humble appologies to the owners of those blogs.
Just did a quick trip through the blogshpere and found that another blog I frequent is packing it in it seems. ABFreedom has too much on the go and says that this coming Friday he will be shutting down his blog. He will be missed by many including myself, of that I am sure.
If you havent already checked out the latest Bloggers Hotstove you really should. Greg, James, Jason and Mike have done a great job on this one. Hat tip to Mike of Rational Reasons for his first appearance as you would have never know it was his first. He did an amazing job (for a dipper that is... Just kidding...). Seriously, this guy is good. He should have his own radio talk show... but then he would have to change to a right winger as everyone knows talk show hosts are all right wing wacco's...
I don't know why, but I just can't seem to wrap my head around politics at the moment. Every time I start to read anything remotely related to politics my eyes glaze over the page gets blurry and a shimmering pool of water appears. Next thing I know I'm looking at the latest and greatest fishing gear available online. Damn I wish I could just aford all them new toys. Ranger sure has brought out some very nice new boats. Shimano has some great new reals and how about the new line of rods that St crioux has?..... Okay...I'm drooling all over my keyboard. Time to shut it down for the night before I do some damage here. No not to my keyboard... my Mastercard!!!!!!!!!

A new species Has been discovered slinking around Ottawa. Canadian wildlife specialist cannot explain why this species had not until very recently been seen. It appears to be a cross between a skunk and a chicken. It stinks to high heaven as to blend in very well with other odors that emanate from Ottawa. It is believed that it has a very cowardly behavior and it runs or hides at the first sign of danger. This could explain why it has never been seen. Its numbers are few and has already been added to the endangered species list. It can be easily identified by its beady little eyes, bushy whiskers, yellow belly and a prominent yellow streak running down its back. Its best defense from predators is its taste. It garners it repulsive taste by being full of shit.
It has been given the Latin name of "endeepeesious" and as of yet no one has bothered to give it a "common" name as like common sense, it is not all that common.

The summer has been good as long as ya didnt mind getting ripped off at the pumps. Funny how the price has dropped so dramatically since the weather did the same. I fished my brains out and tried very hard not to even think about politics. Every now and then Dino would force the issue on me at work but for the most part I was successful. I have some catching up to do by the looks of things. I see little Jack Lorner who should sit in a corner pulling out plum instead of playing politics is still blabbering away saying nothing of any conciquence. Mr Harpers speech today at the UN was extremely well done. Ya ya, I know I have a bias. Suck it up. The one thing that is sooooooo nice to hear is a politician saying meaningful things and not just spewing out what he thinks the people want to hear. Jack, ya taking notes? You should be! Who are all these people running for the leadership of the Lieberal Party? Is there a real leader in the bunch? Go Ray go!!! Closer to home... King Ralph finally handed in his resignation. Another battle to watch in yet another leadership race. One thing is for sure. Who ever replaces The King has big shoes to fill. Okay maybe thats a stretch as Ralphy is not all that big a guy. But what a character. How can anyone top his antics? Ramble Ramble ramble. Damn didn't even work on any cute little pics to put up for this post and to be honest, I'm too lazy to even google up a few at the moment. Time to peruse a few of my old haunts to see what I've been missing and who is bashing who. Take care, come back often as I am back for the winter and will be back posting on a regular basis. What else is there to do during a long cold winter in Canada? So unless we get one hell of an ewwwwwwwww politically incorrect..."Indian Summer" I'm here for a while.
